Shay pov

Our proms coming up and I'm thinking of a way to ask her to be my date. Oh yeah when I say her it's Emi. I wanna tell her in a way she will remember. A special way, but first I need to find a promise ring or something for Emi.

"Um excuse me sir." I said. "I'm looking for a ring for my girlfriend,not an engagement ring or that. do you have something for promised love or something?" I asked.
"Yeah follow me." The worker said.
He showed me lots of rings and there was one that caught my eye. It said 'Together forever' and it was a nice silver ring. "How much is that one?" I asked him. "250" he said. I asked for two and I paid him $500

Two weeks later

Emi pov

Shay said he wanted me to come to the park. I was curious , because he didn't tell me why. I wore a white tee with grey jogging bottoms and red and white Jordan's. I grabbed my phone, told my mum where I was going and left.

I sat down on the bench waiting for Shay to arrive. Typical that he wanted me here and he's late. I felt hands cover my eyes. Again. "Shay babyyyy!" I said hugging him tight. "I see your tryna copy my style." Shay said. We were basically wearing the same things apart from he was wearing black and white Jordan's, while I was wearing red and white. "Nah, I don't really like your style." I said lying to myself. " I know you do." Shay said. "So what did I come here for?" I asked curiously. Shay sighed. "Emi, I dunno how to put this, but you know when I told you your everything I wanted in a girl?" I nodded. "Well, I really meant that. Since you moved to California, You have changed my life. I never knew I would meet the girl of my dreams. With the looks, the personality, everything." Shay said. I was unable to stop the warm tears that were nearly sliding down my cheeks. Shay wiped them for me them quickly and got something out his back pocket. For a second I thought it was an engagement ring, if it was i would have rejected it because I'm to young and 100% not ready. But then he opened the tiny box and there was a ring that read 'Together Forever'. "Aww Shay." I cried and hugged him. We pulled away after some time and Shay put my ring on the ring finger on my left hand. "I promise that our love can never be broken. I love you baby."Shay said "I love you too." I responded. Then I kissed his cheek. "Aye is that I'm finna get," Shay said chuckling. "Fine!" Then I kissed his lips passionately.
"That was soooo romantic." Someone squealed. I recognized that voice. "Alyssa?" I asked. Then her Jada and Sophia came running to us. With the guys walking behind. "What the hell are you lot doing here?" I said. "Girl, Shay asked Sam to come record everything." Alyssa said wiping her tears. "I've never seen something like this before!" Jada added.

"Aww honey that's so sweet." My mum said. "But wait till y'all see us get engaged" Shay said looking at me. "Stop it!" I said punching his arm playfully.

I changed them We left to go to a restaurant. "Do we have to go to a restaurant?" Sophia said. "Yeah can we go to the movies or sumthing?!" Alyssa begged. Yeah, we can watch that new film, umm what's it called again?" I asked. "Friend or foe." Jordan shouted from the back seat.
