"Girl ,prom is in a month and few days and you haven't got your date yet!" Jada said. I just shrugged. "I wonder what's keeping Shay away." Alyssa said. I invited them over to look for prom dresses online. "Maybe he's waiting for the right moment." I said. There was a pause. "Emi do you think we should go shopping instead." "Omg we should, there was this shop in the mall and they had nice blue mermaid style dresses and everything. It's a shame it's not online." Alyssa said. "Girl ,calm down!" I said. Making Jada laugh. "What does she have for breakfast." Jada said catching her breath. My phone started ringing. It said Shay xxx.

"Damn man I forgot to ask Emi to be my prom date." I told the guys. "You can ask her at school or something." Sam said. "Thats what I'm gonna do,im gonna make it big." I said. Then there was a knock at the door....

2 weeks later
At school

The whole day everyone in the squad has been acting happy and everything so I decided to play along. We were sitting at the lunch table talking random and Shit. Then Jordan stood on an empty table and started speaking. "Aye everyone. My boy Shay has something to say." I looked from Jordan to Shay and Shay to the girls. They were smiling like crazy. "Um what's going on?" I asked. Everyone looked like they knew what was happening. I brushed everything off and waited for what Shay had to say. "Yo guys, this is actually for my girlfriend Emi." He started. What for me? I actually couldn't wait to hear this. "Baby, can you come up here?" He asked me. I looked at Jada and she was still smiling. "Ok?..." I whispered as Shay held out his had helping to climb up on the table. "Thanks" I said quietly. "Um Emi, I've been meaning to ask this, but I've been tied up to basketball training a lot these past weeks and i kept forgetting." I smiled at him wanting to know the rest. "Will you go to prom with me?" He finally asked. I started cheesing hard as f..ck. "Omg, yes Shay." I said and pecked his lips. There was a roar of applause from the canteen. There was a sudden silence but some people were still muttering. "Shay Johnson and Shemaine Garcia in my office now!" The principal said. I heard Shay curse under his breath as we followed principal Smith.
