Liv's POV

I woke up and looked at my clock.

"Crap!" It was 6:50. Apparently, I had slept through my alarm.

I jumped out of bed, brushed my teeth, and threw on some clothes. I fixed my hair into a neater ponytail and ran out the door. I hadn't really realized what I put on until I got in the car and was driving. I had slipped on my old sweatpants that had holes and paint all over them that I used to paint my room last summer and one of my brothers' nasty, old basketball shirts. I felt disgusting.

I walked in right as the bell rang and walked off to my anatomy midterm. This one lasted until lunch so I will just go home then and change. Just as I was about to walk into the room I heard Alex call after me.

"Liv! We thought something had happened to you. Why were you late? I tried calling y-" I turned around to face her. "You look terrible! Why are you wearing that?"

"Gee, thanks, Alex. I overslept- sorry I didn't have enough time to get dolled up." I was a little frustrated with her. Did she really expect me to come to school looking like I had weeks to get ready?

"Woah, sorry. I was just wondering. You usually try to at least look a little nice." She was getting defensive and I didn't have time for that.

"Whatever, Alex. I get it. I gotta go. This is my hardest test and I don't want to be late." I walked off without even looking back.

I heard her sigh and walk to her class. After the test, which vastly exceeded my knowledge on human anatomy, I went home to change. I walked in and saw several suitcases. I guess my family got home super early.

"Mom? Dad?" I was excited to see them.

"In here!" I heard them both call out from Wyatt's room.

I ran up the stairs, getting ready to embrace them both.

"Hey, guys! How was your trip?" They both turned around which gave me a better view of Wyatt. I couldn't help but laugh. He had huge red spots that looked like welts which, I'm assuming, are actually from hives. Both of his eyes were swollen and so were his hands.

"It's not funny!" He was angry.

"Yes it is! Does Matt look this bad?" I was still laughing.

"Olivia.." Mom scolded me. Great, we haven't even been home together for five minutes and I'm already getting in trouble.

"Well, come on. You can't tell me that this isn't even a little humorous." She was always sticking up for them. They're only two years younger than me, they can take care of themselves.

I saw my dad holding back a laugh in the background. "Yes, they do look a little funny, but they are both miserable. After we got off the plane, we went to the doctor to get some medicine so they could get treated, and they both had allergic reactions to the medication."

She was clearly frazzled so I decided to let it go. "Well, I'm sorry for laughing." I went over and pinched Wyatt's cheeks. "How's my baby brother? Is he feewing a wittle sick?" I talked to him in a baby voice.

He hit me away and then laughed.

"What's so funny?" I was a little confused.

"You! Did you even look in the mirror this morning? You look like you just got mauled by a bear."

"Actually, no, I didn't look in the mirror. I overslept so I'm sorry I don't look like the beautiful princess I always do." My voice was a little raised and I said the last part a little sarcastically. I heard a scoff from the next room.
