LIV'S POV
We are scheduled to leave in 2 hours so I started to get ready. Harper was going to choose what I'd wear so I hopped in the shower for the second time today. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I went into the room to see what Harper had chosen to find a purple dress and white sandals laying on the bed. I changed right away and then went to the bathroom to start on my hair. I stood in the mirror for at least twenty minutes trying to decide what to do and ended up just doing loose curls. I applied some light make up and was finished. My stomach was in knots.
I left to bathroom to see Harper in a white lace tank top with a purple skirt and white cardigan. "You're looking adorable as always." I passed by as I left the room.
I wanted to make sure the boys looked okay, but they hadn't even started to get ready.
"We're leaving in 45 minutes, why aren't you guys dressed?" I was stressing.
"We are dressed." They said simultaneously as their eyes never left the TV.
"No, you aren't. You're not going to his house in sweatpants. I want you to wear normal pants with nice shirts, please." I sighed for what seemed like forever until they stood up and picked some clothes.
Matt chose some skinny corduroys and a plain black tshirt while Wyatt pulled out some dark brown pants and a red KR3W shirt.
"Better?" Matt asked annoyed.
"Much, thank you." I blew them each a sarcastic kiss and went back to join Harper.
"I am so nervous." I plopped down on the bed.
"Why? It's not like you've never been to his house or met his mom before?" She didn't seem to understand the importance of the situation.
"It's not that, it's my parents-- my dad especially. I just hope he's respectful." Harper sensed how tense I was and sat across from me.
"Sweetie, your dad is going to be just fine. He loves you and knows how important this is to you, and Chai is gonna be alright. Carly is going to keep us updated and you're going to enjoy dinner with your boyfriend." She gave me a quick hug before going back into the bathroom for her endless prepping.
I smiled to myself and checked my phone, remembering I had it. 4 new messages.
Carly: Chai woke up, but he isn't in the mood to talk. I'll call when he is.
Carly: Surgery is scheduled for 6:30. Maybe he'll be up to talking before he goes in.
Justin: Hey, babe. I'm actually really nervous about tonight and I wasn't entirely sure what to wear so I'm in black pants and a sweater thing?
Carly: Sorry, Liv. He doesn't want to talk to you.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, processing it all. Carly's messages are too overwhelming to deal with and Justin was just too cute. I responded to him immediately.
J, I'm sure you look absolutely charming. You're always so handsome. I'm nervous too, but we'll get through it. Can't wait to see you. ♥
I rested my head in my hands as I thought about what to do with Chai. I should probably just leave him alone, but I also wanted him to know that I'm mad and yet scared for him. I texted Carly out of fury. Fine, it's whatever. Just tell him I hope everything goes well reguardless if he doesn't want to hear from me or not. I have dinner at 6:30 anyway.
I sighed and threw my phone across the bed. It was nearly time to go and a colony of butterflies swarmed about my abdomen. (I think butterflies are in colonies.)
