"Nuka!?" I snarled. He jumped but replied sarcastically

"What did I do?"

"You know what you did! You left Kovu!"

"Oh come on Ash. The brat can fend for himself. I did. Besides I don't see why he's so special. I'm the oldest. He's not even Scars kid. The guy just took him in."

"I'll remind you. 'The guy' was your father"

"Not a very good one."

"Neither was mine." I say softly.

"Oh ash. I'm sorry. I just want mother to recognize me."

"Well you can tell her that... "

"Don't think I won't!"

"Well here's your chance. Cause here she comes." Vatali taunts.

He snaps around and looks. " oh mother. Mother! I caught some field mice for you. I left them by-"

She just snarls as she sets Kovu down from her grip. "Why... weren't...you... WATCHING HIM!"

Nuka shrunk back. I wanted to defend him. But was scared of Zira's wrath. Luckily Kovu jumped in. "It wasn't his fault! I left on my own."

She turned on Kovu and I rushed to Nuka's side. "Are you ok?" I whispered.

He nodded. Then all the sudden Zira sounded extremely pleased. Which made me worried.

"What an idea!! You darling child." She picked him up and we all went inside the termite mound.

*end of song*

I slept by Nuka and thought over Zira's plan. Kovu would kill Simba. Simba was my brother. But he took my birthright. "

It would be a long plan.
It would take a year and a half.

A year and a half of training. I knew Nuka wanted to do it. He was the head lion. Technically. Really that fell on Zira. Nuka and I were together. I really wanted a cub. Not now but sometime soon.

* a year and a half later*

"Nice... Very Nice" Zira says as she circles Kovu. He was strong.. And built. Better fed than us all.

Zira had the plan set in motion. Me, Vatali and Nuka were to go and set a fire in the pride lands. So Simba's daughter, who was on her firstt hunt. Would need Kovu to rescue her.

As I went to leave Nuka stepped in front of me. "You are not going"

"Why not?" I snarled in return.

"You know why."
He said and nodded his head to my getting larger stomach. Yes I was expecting. I'm 2 months along.

"I'll be fine." I say.

"My answer is no. Don't push it Ashanti." He never uses my full name.

"I guess, I'll stay here... Just this once. "

He licked my face. "Thank you."

"Stop the mush! Come on Nuka!! Times a wasting!!" I smiled as he followed his bossy younger sister. I walked back into the termite mound to wait.
