Chapter Eight-The Plan

My eyes widen as I look at Jason's face. So young and sharp shaped. I can't make a word or say anything. He was so memorizing. I force myself to blink and look back at the computer screen.

"So what do you want to know Jason?" I ask.
"How old are you?" He responds.
"I'm 23." I respond.
"What's your last name?" He asks.
I look at him and shake my head, "no sorry that's not going to happen. I won't provide that detail. I don't know yours and don't want to yet." I tell him.
He frowns and looks hurt. "Fine then, what's your middle name?" He asks.
"Nope. No names. But I will tell you this, I have been almost in every single country in the world, I hate heights, not scared of the dark, dislike spiders and snakes, and I am afraid of clowns." I tell him and look at his face.
All I can read from his face is that he is amused.

I roll my eyes and keep reading the file. "So you're afraid of heights huh?" Jason asks. I glance at him and look back to the computer screen, "Yes, what about it?" I ask. "Well we can fix that."he tells me. I look up and see Jason standing up. "Oh no no no no. Jason I find this very unnecessary. I don't think I should do this ri...IGHT...!!" I squeal as Jason picks me up. I start pound my fists on his chest and pushing away from him trying to make him drop me. Only his grip tightens on me.

"Jason for the love of god put me down!!!" I scream. "Sorry bells but im not religious and thats less likely going to happen." He tells me. He walks towards a window. "Jason. God damn it let me go!" I shout at him pounding my fists on him. He walks even more towards the window with a smile on his face. He opens the window and the front door kicks open. Jason spins around and frowns. I look at the front door and see a tall black haired man with electric blue eyes. He wore a light blue shirt, kaki pants and a nice pair of shoes. Nothing to fancy.

"Dick what are you doing here?" Jason questions.
"Well you didn't answer your cell. I came over to see if you are fine and it seems you're fine but I'm not so sure if she's fine. What's going on Jason?" Dick asks.
"Umm nothing really just doing some research and making some plans." Jason tells Dick. "No, He's trying to throw me out the window so I can get over my fear of heights!" I yell.

Dick raises an eyebrow and walks in the house and closes the door behind him. He walks over to Jason. "Jason just put her down." He tells him. Jason raises and eyebrow, "Why should I there's nothing you can do." Jason tells him. He walks towards the window still staring at Dick. Jason opens the window and Dick places a hand on his shoulder.

"Jason if you're gonna do this know this; If you drop her out of the window she can lose her trust in you. You should respect her wishes and not play with her fears. Go on an easier path than just dropping her out of the window. Take baby steps like climb a rock wall or something like that, not this Jason." Dick explains.

Jason shrugs, "Alright then. But know this Annabelle you are going to get over your fear of heights if you want my help because sometimes there is no other way than up." He tells me. I push myself out of his arms and land on the ground with a thud. I was offered a hand from both Jason and Dick. I grab Dick's hand instead of Jason's.

"Now what research are you two doing if you don't mind me asking?" Dick questions.
"It involves nothing with you in..." "Actually I think he can help." I interrupt Jason. Jason glares at me. I raise an eyebrow and cross my arms. "Why not?" I demand. "Because this doesn't involve him. Trust me he's better off not helping us since he has work to do." Jason tells me but looks at Dick. It was probably mostly towards him than to me.

"Well just give me a call if you guys need help." Dick tell us walking back to the front door. "Actually Dick I will call you later."Jason tells Dick as Dick walks out of the door. Dick waves his hand and shuts the door.
