Alec's POV:

"Alec! Talk to me! What did Magnus do to you?" Jace hammered the door.

Why does he think that it's Magnus fault? It's all mine.

"Go away Jace," My voice cracked at the end.

"Are you crying?" He replied after a long silence.

"No I'm not! Jace just leave me alone!" I tried my best to sound angry but my tears just continued to fall.

Jace's POV:

That bastard downworlder! No one gets away after hurting my parabatai like that. That downworlder would get it from me.

I left the institute and ran all the way his apartment.

I kicked the door down harshly.

"MAGNUS FUCKING BANE! WHAT DID YOU DO TO ALEC!" I hurled him up and slapped him across his face.

He pushed me off roughly, "Shadowhunter," he spat. "Why does the fault always lie on a downworlder? Ask your parabatai what he tried to do, get out of my apartment and never step in again. Come in again, I'll kill you." His cat-eyes glared at me.

I stood outside his apartment, stunned beyond words. Ask your parabatai what be tried to do? By the angel, what did Alec do to Magnus that made him so mad?

Ask your parabatai. Things got so bad that he didn't even call him by his name.

I went back to the institute determined to find out what was the problem between these two.

"Someone! Help me! Please!" A strangled cry echoed through the dark night.

I stood alert, I took out my seraph blade and thread cautiously towards the sound.

A bloodcurdling scream echoed through the silent might again. This time though, it was a lot louder, it must be near.

I rounded the corner and I saw it. It was a demon, on top of a-I really have no idea. It could be anyone-or anything for that matter.

"Raphael" I whispered and the seraph blade flared to life.

That demon turned and snarled at me. He lunged towards me with its claws stretched out. Like a-cat...just a really really huge cat. I stepped out of the way at the very last minute and plunged the seraph blade into its body.

With a shrieked, it vanished into thin air. On a closer look, it was a human, a mundane?

"Hey, you alright?" I held out a hand.

"I-I-I'm fine, Than-thank you," he stood up shivering a little. I assume from the fright and not from being cold?

"What happen?" I asked.

"I'm not really-really sure. I was just walking back home and then that-that-thing came and dragged me here."

He's a mundane. He probably has the sight or something.

"Yeah right, then do you nee-" I stopped in surprise when he suddenly grabbed my hands.

"I feel very sick-very-" He slipped down and fell down on the floor with his eyes closed.

He fainted. Great. I bend down to carry him back to the institute. I glanced at his neck, damm he was bitten by the demon. This never really happened before. And when it did, the mundane would die.

I carried him on the back and went back to the institute.

"Stupid mundanes," I cursed irritated, "Such a heavy pig."
