Magnus's POV

I watched Alexander run out of my room with sad eyes, I gave a sigh and sat down on the bed with my head in my hands. It pained me to see Alec like this, so distraught and lonely but it has to be done.

I thought back on what happened yesterday.

*FLASHBACK*

"Camille?" I asked in astonishment.

I knew she wasn't dead, but to see her here was a little surprising.

"Oh Magnus, aren't you at least a little glad that I wasn't killed?" Camille moved towards me but I stood back, holding a warning finger.

"I knew that Maureen couldn't have killed you..she is just a newly turned vampire, if she really killed you-" I trailed off glancing at Camille, who is now staring into space with a thoughtful expression.

"But that's besides the point," I carried on quickly. "The point is why you here. What exactly do you want?"

"Magnus," she gave a very dramatic sigh and swept into my apartment. "Can't I come here for a little chat? I haven't seen you since that depressing day at the institute did I?"

"You could, but you wouldn't," I sat down beside her on my couch. "What is your purpose in coming here?"

"You and that shadowhunter. You broke up with him didn't you? All because-" Camille snort.

Anger boiled inside me, she was the whole reason why I broke up with Alexander anyway.

"Because of you, you were the only reason why he would do what he did." I didn't allow her to finish talking, I didn't want her to finish talking.

"Only reason? Come on magnus, both you and I know that is not true. You can't lie to me, I know you better than that shadowhunter would ever know you." She smirked a little.

I stiffened, she knows? How could she know that?

"What's not true?" I asked as innocently as I could managed, hiding my discomfort behind my smile.

"You didn't break up with Alec only because he tried to take away your immortality, both you and I know that is impossible, but the bigger part of the reason is because of your Father isn't it?" Camille smiles calmly at me, a smile that says so there.

"Its impossible? Well..that I didn't know, I just remembered, I'm having a client over in fifteen minute and there sure isn't enough time for me to get ready. As nice as it is to see you, I would have to ask you to leave to let me prepare, I would appreciate it very much thank you," I stood up, walking towards the door and holding it open.

She stood up slowly, using her hand to brush her dress.

"Don't you want to know how I came about to know this particular secret of yours?" Her cold hands brushed past mine as she whispered.

"No I don't," I told her blankly, forcing myself to show no emotion in my voice.

She looked me hard in the eye and laughed, "But your eyes say otherwise."

I forced out a smile and waved at her ever so slightly, practically forcing her out before slamming the door shut.
