Another promise

Natsu POV

As the sun rose i opened my eyes and saw Lucy in the bed with me . The warmth of her radiated off onto me .
I smiled and kissed her forehead softly not wanting to wake her up .
I'm so glad I have you Lucy ....
I thought to myself while cuddling closer to her .

'Knock ' knock'
Who could it be at this time ?
Grumbling , I walked to the door and opened it.
Erza stop there looking unhappy with gray at her side .
"Natsu we need to talk , it's about the attack ." Erza said walking to the office . " what happened gray?""well....." Gray scratched his head and looked into my room .

" you'll find out when you go to the meeting , come on." With that he turned his foot and walked to the office . I hate it when I have meetings .
Groaning , I say back on the bed and pulled my shoes on.

" mmmm ...." But before I got up I heard Lucy stir next to me . " Natsu ? Why are you up ?" Lucy sat up slowly while her shirt dropped around her chest . Me and my thoughts ...

" oh umm erza needs me , I'll be back don't worry ." I smiled and pecked her lips and she blushed deeply . " o-okay " she smiled and hugged me , then laid back down.

Tiptoeing out of the room to make sure she got rest , and exited out and went to the meeting cabin. Erza and gray were both waiting sitting around the table .
Erza was the first to speak ." We need to talk about the recent attack on the ship , it seems they were after Lucy ."
I sighed and sat down , and listened .

Gray also stood up and spoke." Listen hot head , we know you've known Lucy ever since you were little but , she could be a danger to the crew." " shut up Popsicle , I know what I'm doing , Lucy was being beaten and hurt by her father , I'm not sending her back to that place that man calls home , to me it's a death place so I'm not , thank you now if that's all we have to discuss I'm going back to bed, it's late ."

I felt upset by that conversation . As I left I remembered the bruise Lucy showed me the day I brought her here .
I wanted to so badly to go and beat some sense into her father , but I know Lucy wouldn't want that .
She's too kind hearted ... It's one of the things I love about her.

Walking back into my room I saw Lucy sitting up and looking out my window , that was showing the stars . Her hair was brushed back and her eyes were shone with happiness , but somewhere in the mist of it ,sadness was displayed .

" Lucy , are you okay ? What's on your mind ?" I slowly walked up to her and hugged her from the side and sat next to her . " oh , umm I was looking at the stars , it just reminded me of when I was little , mom , dad and me would go star gazing sometimes..." Lucy looked down as her hands trembled .

" hey hey , I'm here for you don't worry , and if you want we can go start gaze if you want ! " Lucy's face lit up as she hugged me ." Really? You mean it?"
I smiled and patted her head and stood up . " of course come on lets go now ! It's better to look outside than from a window right?"
Lucy nodded in agreement and stood up , putting a pair of boots on before joining next to me .

" alright let's go Luce! " I smiled and grabbed my telescope and the stand , then Headed outside , with Lucy grabbing hold of my arm .

Walking outside , Lucy shivered , so I took my scarf off and wrapped it around her . Surprised she stared at me then nuzzled her face into my scarf and cuddled into my chest .

I felt heat rising to my cheeks , but I quickly shook it off and set up the telescope  . " alright Lucy let's look at some stars , oh look! There's the constellation Leo!"

I smiled and Lucy clapped her hands ." Wow Natsu I didn't know you knew constellation points !" I smiled proudly at her words

" of course I do , I'm the captain of this ship so I have to have that sort of stuff in my head ." Lucy giggled and pointed into the sky ." Hey Natsu you see that one right there ? It's called Gemini ! Do you know that one ?"

I felt a little dumb because I didn't know that one but of course wanting to not be embarrassed , I lied . " well yeah of course !" I said looking away . Lucy chuckled though and laughed ." What's funny ? " I asked . But she just kept laughing and laughing .

" oh Natsu you weren't even paying attention ! Haha , that one wasn't Gemini , it was Virgo ! " I felt more heat rise to my cheeks . " pfft of course I knew that .... Maybe .....okay I didn't I wasn't paying attention bleh bleh come here ."

And before I knew it I was tickling her and making her flail her Arms all about ." N-n-Natsu !! N-noooo p-p-please stop I-I-I-I'm s-s-sorry I'll d-do anything just p-please stop!"
" hehe then come here .,.."

It felt like it happened in slow motion , but bringing her closer to me , I smashed my lips onto hers and closed . I couldn't tell if she was surprised or not , but she kissed me back and wrapped her arms around my neck .

Finally , what seemed like forever , we parted  , panting shallow breathes. " Luce....I,,,I love you.........." Lucy nodded and laid her head on my chests, and Said," I-I ....love you too ......." And then she fell asleep . 

I smiled and picked her up bridal style , then head back to my room , laid her on my bed and fell asleep next to her .
I hope this never ends.......
