Chapter 7

-----------------------1 week later---------------------

Diablo has been doing great with his training. I was able to saddle him western the other day. Today I'm going to ride him.

I tack him up and lunge him first. Once he's warmed up and calm, I bring him to the middle of the round pen and bridle him.

I get on him and walk around the round pen. He's a good horse, but he jut doesn't trust people. After 3 minutes, I dismount and untack him.

As a reward for doing so well today, I give him an apple then leave. I'm going to ride Star today. It's been a long time since I've jumped him.

I hop on him, without putting tack on and ride him to the arena. There is a small one foot jump set up, so after getting warmed up I canter Star over it.

He's not as good as a jumper than Dream or Buck, but he's still a good jumper. I raise the jump to 2'4" and canter him over it three times.

A red truck pulls into the 'parking lot' in front of the barn. Just my luck, it's Alexis. She walks into the barn and tacks Diamond up english.

I take Star to the wash rack and rinse his legs off. I bet the feels nice. Afterwards, I take him into his stall.

Shaylin walks into the barn and gets Eclipse dancer. I walk over to the stall she's in.

"Hey." I say. I turns around to face me.

"Hi!" she says. I offer to go on a trail ride with her, but she turns down my offer and goes alone. I wonder what's up with her.
