Annabella POV

My eye's follow the words on the letters comprehending every single word , and the first thing to cross my mind is ; is he a psychopath !

He ripped the heart of my mates mother with a silver knife , and now he wants to see me ! At this moment I can imagine him do anything to anyone . I'm scared from this man reaction to anything , he actually killed his mother ; the lady who raised him since he was a baby .

I took a deep breath , trying to summon the right thing to do , but I couldn't fanthom that he killed his mom ; does that mean if I didn't meet him Mathew will follow his mom on the road of death !

I gasped at that idea , and my wolf growled hating the thought of our mate dying . I have no choice , I have no saying in this . This has been the end of our lovely story , quite the sad ending .

Someone rushed to my side , I looked to see a worried Mathew . panic and guilt were drowning me . I hid the paper under my thighs hoping he'll not notice .

I silently nodded . His eyes wandered the room then he started sniffing , I crossed my fingers for him to shake it off .

" did anyone come here ? " he frowned .

My eyes widened . " huh ! Uh n-no.....just a nur-rse . " I stuttered , I'm not lying he didn't walk in here .

" it just...never mind ." I sighed in relief . " are you okay ? " he grabbed my hand .

" I should be asking you that ." every word is laced with deep guilt , at least that's how I felt ; guilt .

" to be real , I feel like shit my own mother died because of me . " he sighed , placing his head in both of his palms .

What ?

" well , she's not the first person to die out of my own idiotic actions ." he sounded empty , if he wasn't Mathew I would've said weak and vulnerable .

Again , what ?

I couldn't help but allow my teas to pour down my face . " b-but it's not your fault , I'm sorry I didn't know he's that craz- " I was cut by mark chiming in .

" alpha a group of rouge is attacking the guards a- " Mathew looked at him with murderous look , even I flinched .

" what's special about this attack , get the fighters to finish them . " said through greeted teeth .

" I did that alpha but then fighter wolves from their side showed up and they are not rouges , they are trained like our men they're from official packs . " mark said in shaky tone , this is some bad shit .

" but isn't this early . " Mathew whispered , it was barley audible to me.
" tell alpha Lawrence and Gabriel about this . I'll be there in seconds . " Mathew said in his alpha tone . Mark bowed and rushed out of here .

I looked at Mathew confused . " don't worry a rebellious attack , that bastard thinks he can win the packs . " even though I'm still confused I nodded .

" only three kings , what about the other one ? " the packs could be from anywhere , I had to ask .

" I don't know why is his blood line one of the chosen four , he's not a benefit to have . " I again nodded .

He kissed my temple then rushed out the room too . the definition of how I feel is ultimate panic and terrified . what if something happened to him ? Mark wouldn't come if they were a problem , right ?

Stress consumes me , I could lose my mate because of that sneaky bastard . what could our conversation , me and Henry , possibly be about . this all might be a big trap , he can use me against Mathew .

I should've told Mathew , but I know he'll flip , and after his mother unpleasant death ; any of his actions are unpredictable .

My head snapped towards the window , aggressive snarls were thrown which turned into mad growling . I jumped out of the soft hospital mattress and peered out of the window .

A familiar wolf attacking someone . panick washed over me .

It might be Mathew !!

I rushed out of the room , my head pounding terribly . A loud thud came from outside , as if something huge was thrown against the wall . A nurse tried pulling me away from the entrance gate , I pushed her away mumbling a' sorry ' . The sight is terrifying .

Dead bodies here and there , torn limbs , fighting giant wolves everywhere smoke blurred the scene ,and him smirking in my direction . the man i detest the most !

His eyes roamed the battle field landing on one giant black wolf . " MATTHEW ! " . my mate was pinned down by four wolves , he wasn't struggling much it's clear her was wounded all over and exhausted . I looked back at the devil , his smirk just got wider , I felt like slapping the shit of him .

"WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM , HAVEN'T YOU HAD REVENGE , FUCK OFF NOW !!" . I shouted , while slowly walking towards him . he laughed , making me feel more outrageous .

I'm about to murder him.

"If you intent on laying a finger on me , you're certainly asking me to rip your mate " he chuckled ," what is it that forces a sweet thing to give up on her life for mutt like him ". I snarled at his words . The pounding in my head got heavier , i'm about to coiled with the floor if I don't gather any strength .
" no matter how I explain you'll never understand . " I said sounding so hoarse , I looked back at Matthew and tears found their way out of my eyes and started running down my cheeks . " if I stick to my part of the deal , what assures me you'll stick to yours . How can I trust a man that killed his mom , HUH! " . I cried , my throat was seriously dry , something is wrong with me today ; I can't even shift .

"I don't want to rule this shitty excuse of a pack , I just want you to brake his heart , that feeling of satisfaction is your guarantee , do we have a deal ? " everyone fighting stopped waiting for an answer .

I looked at Matthew my eyes were pleading for him to rise to his feet and fight but he just laid there , his chest slowly raising and falling following a slow rhyme .

"I..I..have..to.." I whispered . I looked at Henry with utter defeat and nodded . " I'll.... Go ....but plea...se don't hurt him. "Henry laughed and nodded .

" Maxwell escort her to the agreed place , and arrange all the necessities " the wolf behind me bowed , and nudged my back motioning for me to hop on it's back .

I dragged my feet behind me like a zombie . it is quite sad ending , isn't it ?
