"How are you so perceptive?"
I grinned cheekily.
"I'm a Seer remember? I was born awesome."
His booming laugh filled the empty house and an empty part of me.
"That is very true," he chuckled.
Realization smothered me as I realized...I was falling for him. A strangled, choking sound escaped my mouth as the signs all pieces together. The tingles, feeling whole, the constant smiles and frustrating emotional waves. I was falling for a Fallen angel. And I didn't want to stop. It was getting hard to breathe and my vision clouded slightly.
"Kira! Kira, darling, breathe. Breathe deep and slow. Focus on the air entering your lungs."
I listened to his soothing voice and gradually my breathing returned to normal.
"I-I'm sorry."
He pulled me into his arms and I had no strength left to pull away.
"Don't be. Will you tell me what's wrong?"
Concern glinted in his beautiful eyes and I found an honesty and calm that I needed.
"I'm falling for you," I heard myself blurt.
Shock flew across his features before he regained his composure.
"Kira..."
"I know you'd rather I not tell you or stop falling altogether, but I can't and I don't want to."
Agony was evident in his eyes before he kissed me. Desperation danced between us. He pulled away and put our foreheads together.
"I'm falling for you, too."
I closed my eyes and relished the feeling of being wanted. Once our little moment of admitting the truth was over, we spent the next few hours watching movies. When his stomach started growling, I knew t was time to eat. He stomach continued.
"Alright, alright! Tell it to stop yelling at me," I teased.
It growled again and he shrugged his shoulders.
"It had a mind of it's own."
I rolled my eyes and left to make dinner. I had chicken cooking and was beginning the noodles when he came in and wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"Smells good."
"Thanks. Chicken noodle soup. My mom taught me how to make it after she adopted me."
"Not what I was talking about but nice to know a little bit about you."
I blushed as he turned to nuzzle my neck. My hands were covered on flour and I totally forgot...until I put my fingers in his hair and left spots of white. I glanced from my hands to his hair and I erupted in a fit of giggles. His eyebrows furrowed at my reaction. His confused expression turned my giggles into bent over laughter, a snort coming out here and there. Frustration was evident in him as he watched me lose my mind.
"What's so funny?"
I kept laughing but managed a weak,
"H-hang on. Follow m-me."
I ran to my room, went inside and closed and locked every door and window before going back and yelling through the door,
"Go look in a mirror!"
I barely heard his irritated grumbles as he stalked to his room.
"Kira!" He roared.
He found the flour. I couldn't help it, I laughed even harder. My laughter finally began to subside as he pounded on the door.
