AUTHOR'S NOTE: In order for this story to make sense you must go back and read Tough And Wise if you have not already. This is the second book in the Tough And Wise series.

Garnet's POV:

Sapphire and Ruby were my creator. The wedding had gone good. There was cheering and crying, which mostly came from Pearl. She seemed to cry a lot. What I needed was a honeymoon, and I did not know how to do that since I was a fusion. Both of my gems agreed to split up just this once, so they could have a romantic honeymoon together.

Sapphire's POV:

Ruby had me in her arms and I couldn't help but smile. "Hello again my Laughy Sapphy." Ruby said with a smile. "You are still going on with that name?" She nodded her head. "That means I get to call you Rockin Ruby." She nodded her head. "Fair enough. Any ideas on where you want to go for our honeymoon?" Ruby asked me. I put my finger to my chin and started to think. "How about the Sea Spire?" Ruby shook her head. "Didn't that place perish?" I nodded my head. "Yes, but that will mean we will be alone." I said and Ruby nodded her head. "Okay." I smiled at her and kissed her. She wrapped her arms around me and I did the same. This was going to be a night to remember.

Later that night Ruby and I reached the Sea Spire. It was quiet, which we both enjoyed. Ruby grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "You excited?" I asked her. "Does this answer your question?" She dipped me and kissed me like she always did. Each time she did it, it was more and more special. She picked me up and started to carry me. I began to giggle. We were headed up the stairs to the top of the spire. I heard something and it sounded like crying. "Do you hear that?" I asked Ruby and she shook her head. "No." I heard it again, so I grabbed her hand and began to drag her around. "Geez, slow down." I ignored her and kept on going. At this point I was running. I stopped and looked behind a corner and saw a speck of green. It was a teenage girl and she was a gem. Her gem was the back of her hand and it was green. "Stay here." I whispered to Ruby and went towards the girl. "Hello?" I said in my soft voice and she looked up. "Don't hurt me!" She crawled back on the floor. She had tears streaming down her face. "Don't worry I am here to help." I said and she looked at me. "Really? You are not going to hurt me?" She asked me and I shook my head. "Nope." She got up carefully and started to walk towards me hesitantly. Her hair was long like mine, but straight and her eyes were green. She had a dress on and it was just a plain dark green. "What is your name?" I asked her. "You first." She said. "Sapphire." I said. She smiled at me. "I have heard of you. You were kicked out by homeworld." I nodded my head. "I was too, I have been living here ever since. My name is Emerald." She put out her hand and I shook it. "Nice to meet you." I told her and she smiled at me. "You too." She said and looked around the corner. "Who is that?" She pointed at Ruby. "That's Ruby, we are married. This is our honeymoon." Ruby came out from behind the corner and smiled. "I have heard of you too." Emerald said and shook Ruby's hand. "Nice to meet the both of you." She said. "I do not want to interrupt your special night, so I will go." Emerald said and I grabbed her shoulder. "You can stay with us if you want." She looked at the both of us and her green eyes lit up. "Really? That would be great!" She said and jumped up and down. I looked at Ruby and gave her the puppy dog face. "I can't say no to that face." Ruby said and smiled at me. "Let's go." I said and Emerald followed close behind me. Ruby held my hand the whole way back to the warp pad.

We eventually reached back home. "She doesn't have a room." I said and looked at the door that lead to our rooms. "That's what you think." Ruby smiled at me. "Emerald let me see your gem." Ruby said and Emerald showed Ruby her gem. Her gem was in the shape of a rectangle and it glowed in the lighting. Ruby looked at her gem and put her gem against the star of the door. Emerald winced, it looked painful. Her gem was now etched in the star of the door. "Open your door." Ruby said, and she did. It seemed easy for her and I did not know why. Her door opened with a rectangle shape. "Cool. May I go in?" She asked and I nodded my head yes. She started to laugh and went inside her room. After her door was shut Ruby started to speak to me. "Are we going to keep her?" She asked me and I pointed at the door. "Yes." I said with a smile. "I am curious why she was kicked out of Homeworld. It seems she is not a defect." Ruby said. "I guess we will have to find out." I said and held Ruby's hand. I looked at the door with Emerald in the middle of the star. "She must be important. She is in the middle of the star." Ruby looked at me and nodded her head. "She must be." I was right, this was a night I was going to remember.
