Sapphire's POV:

Ruby and I had been kissing on the couch for hours. "Hey." She said. "What?" I asked. "We still have a honeymoon we need to catch up on." She said with a smile. I completely forgot. I was too worried about Steven to even think about it. "Well...let us go then." I said and Ruby got off the couch and picked me up and carried me to the warp pad.

We eventually got to the Sea Spire and Ruby had continued to carry me until we reached the top. There was a loud bang and Ruby and I stopped. We looked at each other. Then we heard a voice. "I can't believe they killed Peridot and Jasper." I looked at Ruby and she looked terrified. I looked around the corner and saw that the gem speaking was tall with broad shoulders. Ruby grabbed me and we ran back to the warp pad.

When we both warped back home Ruby was freaking out. "Who was that?" I asked and she shot me a glare. "She is the one who kicks gems out of Homeworld. She is Yellowdiamond! Otherwise known as the wife of The King!" She snapped at me. "Ruby calm down." I put my hand on her shoulder. She smacked my hand away. "Ouch." I said and looked at my hand. It was burning. She must have known she hurt me. "I'm sorry." She reached out to touch me, but I backed away. "No need to apologize. I will give you some time to cool down." I said and walked over to the warp pad. I was going to Rose's fountain once again.

Pearl's POV:

Amethyst and I departed from the hug. I kissed her on the forehead, just like Rose used to do. "The funeral is tomorrow. I will give you some time alone." I said and walked out of her room.

Amethyst's POV:

Pearl kissed me on the forehead and I felt a little better. Greg was my best friend, a true friend, and now he is dead. The one person I got along with eradicated from the face of this planet. "If only humans could live forever." I said to myself and memories of him and I was starting to flow through my head. I buried my face in my pillow and began to cry some more. My only friend was gone.

Steven's POV:

"You know what I like." I said to Peedee with a smile. I handed him the exact change. "Have fun at the firework show Steven." He said with a smile. "Thanks, you too." I said and we both were off. It was now nighttime.

We had wasted a lot of time at the arcade. "Here." I handed Emerald some fry bits. She smiled at me and put a fry bit in her mouth. "Dude! These are awesome!" She yelled. I dipped a fry bit in ketchup. "Back up a bit." I said and she did as I told her. "Open your mouth." I said and she smiled at me. I threw the fry bit and it landed in her mouth. "Ohhhhhhh!" We both yelled. A few people walking by gave us some questioning stares. We both ignored them. "Let's go. I have the perfect spot to watch fireworks." I grabbed her arm. "Ok." She smiled at me. She does that a lot. "You have a nice smile." I said and looked away from her. Was I crushing on her? No. No that can't be. She was my friend and I already had a girlfriend.

We both were sitting on top of the temple. On one of the hands, were the laundry machine sat. "Here. I know you want to see it." She handed me her present and I handed her mine. "Open yours first." She said and I did. It was a slinky. A huge smile appeared on my face. "Thanks. I have always wanted this." I said and looked at her. "Now yours." I said with a smile. She looked down at the box and opened it. Her mouth dropped and she gently reached in it and pulled out the teddy bear. "You got it." She said and looked over at me. I nodded my head. "It wasn't that hard. It's no big deal." Her eyes lit up. "It's a big deal to me." She hugged the teddy bear. The fireworks began to start. "Yeah!" I yelled. I looked over at Emerald. She was blushing. "Why are you~" I was cut off by her lips meeting mine. She opened her eyes and pulled away. "Oh my goodness I am so sorry! It was only supposed to be on the cheek." "Shhh." I cooed her. "Your fine." My heart was racing in my chest. I felt something vibrate and I searched in my pocket. It was my phone. Connie texted me. I read her text.

Connie's text: I am sorry, but I cannot continue our relationship.

Steven's text: Why not?

Connie's text: I feel like we need time apart. Your father died. I just feel like we need a break. It's not you it's me.

I knew it was me. I had no idea what I did wrong. I let out a deep a sigh and buried my face in my hands. "Are you okay?" Emerald reached out to touch me, but I backed away and when I did I fell off the hand. I begsn to fall, but something grabbed me. It was Emerald. Her sword was stabbed on the edge of the temple's hand. Her hand was holding mine. "Let go." I said and she shook her head. She pulled both of us up. "What's your problem?!" She yelled at me. My eyes widened in anger. "You really want to know what's wrong?! My girlfriend just broke up with me and my father is dead!" I yelled and I had tears in my eyes. Emerald started to cry. "I'm sorry." I said and looked at her. "I should be apologizing. I shouldn't have yelled at you. I was worried about you." I looked at her and she smiled. She wiped away my tears and hugged me. "I know it hurts." She said. I cried some more. I opened my eyes and she was looking down at me with a smile. I grabbed her face with both of my hands and pulled her close to me. I looked into her eyes, she was blushing, and I smiled. I felt her breath on my lips and I kissed her on the lips. I pulled away slowly and looked her in the eyes. I was embarrassed so I looked at the fireworks, the finale had started. "Thank you." I said and she looked at me with a smile. I felt something warm on my hand, it was her hand. I laced my fingers with hers and squeezed her hand. "Let's not tell anyone." Emerald said and I nodded my head. Emerald almost made me forget about all the stress that has happened lately, and I thanked her for that. We both sat there our fingers laced, watching fireworks, and having a good time.
