"What are we going to make?" Jiyong walked up beside his boyfriend as he took a glance of the ingredients there was lying on the table, before he got himself seated on the counter.
Seunghyun had already been nibbling on what looked like a piece of cucumber, when he looked up at Jiyong once the question had fallen through his lips. He just shrugged, pulling out a knife.
"A salad. Something simple and light." He chuckled. "Something energizing and refreshing, and all as much; healthy. That way I have the strength to beat you all in laser tag." He smiled, putting on his best impression of one of those chefs you'd see on the cooking channel.
He diced up some vegetables, even some fruit, and put it all into one large bowl. He retrieved a head of lettuce from the refrigerator, and took it to the sink, where he washed it until it was nice and clean.
After that, he returned to his bowl of a fruit and vegetable concoction, peeled the first few leaves of the lettuce off, disposed of them, and then began ripping the rest up and adding it to the bowl.
"Besides, I'm not in the mood for anything heavy." He mumbled; seeming caught up with the making of the dish.
"As you say Master Chef," Jiyong said as he took a piece of fruit from the bowl, like an impatient little kid who was waiting to get some candy.
"Good news!" The voice of Taemin appeared as he walked into the kitchen to get seated on the counter beside his best friend. "Kai and Minho is coming with us." The boy smiled.
Seunghyun turned around to face Taemin, a smile climbing onto his lips in order to expose his dimples. "Oh? Do they need a ride?" He questioned. "Are either of them hungry?"
Oh, gosh, Seunghyun. Now you sound like a mother.
He popped a piece of fruit into his mouth, still looking at Taemin. "More importantly, are /you/ hungry?" He questioned, only making his parental instinct seem larger.
Jiyong had just found himself laughing as Taemin smiled amused at his hyung.
"No, thank you. They said they would be fine," He replied as he snatched the fruit Jiyong who was eating before stuffing it into his own mouth.
"Ya?!" The other let out, which caused Taemin to chuckle with his mouth full.
"That's what you get," Laughed Seunghyun at Taemin's teasing action. "You swear you're not hungry, but you still eat the food we feed you anyway. Listen to your tummy, Taemin." He joked, half serious.
The eldest mixed up the bowl with a satisfied smile, making sure the fruit, veggies, and lettuce all distributed themselves evenly.
"Who's hungry then?"
Jiyong just glared quietly at his best friend as the two locket eyes in an intense stare, before they both turned their head towards Seunghyun.
"Me!" They both replied - some a bit more muffled than the other.
