I waited until school was over to ask Lucas what that paper was all about, after school I found him by his car talking to Amber. I just wanted to run over there and punch both of them, but I was gonna keep my cool. I walked over there calmly, "Here we go" Amber said "I w-(gco) "Alright I'll pick her up later bye" Lucas said to Amber, "Bye" she said before she walked off. Who was her? "I'm sorry for getting a lil mad at you this morning" he say "It's cool just forget about it but anyway who you going pick up later?" I asked "Meet me at your house we'll talk about it there" "Okay".
At Yn house....
"Alright Yn, before we got together Amber and I were together and um well we broke up and I guess she was pregnant and she told me but I didn't think the baby was mines but... That paper that she handed me proved that she is mines and I want custody" he say, my heart dropped to my stomach, tears filled my eyes. I wanted to have Lucas first kid but that obviously isn't possible anymore. "Um... Okay I um, why do you want custody?" I ask "Because trust me I know Amber isn't a good mom, the reason why we broke up is because all she did was go out and get drunk and sleep with others guys, and I know she haven't changed and I don't want my daughter to be around that" "Well can't she like stay with Amber mom or something?" "Yn come on now don't act like that I missed 2 years of her life already and I want to make it up to her"
I took a deep breath, and closed my eyes and tears fell, I felt Lucas wipe them off my face. "Baby it's going to be okay trust me please" he say "Okay, okay c'mon lets go pick her up" I say "Okay"
We pulled up to Amber house and Lucas got out of the car and knocked on her door. I couldn't believe this, now I have to play step mom and all this stuff but I'm gonna try to be calm about this whole situation. I seen that some dude answered the door and then Amber handed him a little girl and just shut the door. Lucas walked back to the car and put the little girl in the back seat and buckled her up. Then he got back in the driver seat, "Her name is Carlie" he say, I looked back at her and she looked up at me, she reminded me so much of Amber the eyes and everything, she look just like her. "Hi Carlie, I'm Yn you're so pretty" I say she smiled "Hi Yn, you pwetty too" she say. I smiled. "Wanna go get ice cream Carlie?" Lucas asked "Yes pwease" she say. "Babe?" I asked "Yes" he say "Who was that guy that opened the door?" "I don't know babe"
"He's my mom boyfriend, he hits me sometimes" Carlie says "HE DO WHAT?" Lucas yelled she started to tear up which made me tear up "I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell Carlie, just know that daddy is not going to hit you, and you're not going over there anymore" "Okay daddy". I could see the anger in Lucas face, "Calm down babe, it's okay all that matter now is that she's safe with us" I say trying to comfort him "You're right"
After we finished eating ice cream we went to the park and then shopping for Carlie some new clothes since she's staying with us now. We came to the conclusion that while Lucas and I are at school his mom will babysit her, and then after we graduate we are going to get a condo and it's just going to be us three which I'm looking forward too ❤️
