STAN POV:
As soon as my head lifted up to the surface I took the deepest breath I had ever taken. But I was aware that another body did not float up next to me and do the same.
My hand was still gripping Kyle's hand, but Kyle's hand was not gripping mine.
I breathed in heavily and bit my bit, my chest heaving I used all my weight and pulled Kyle onto my back.
Kyle was not moving he was lying motionless on my back. I dragged him over to the rocky edge of the deep pool of water and layed him out.
He was not breathing, his chest was not moving up and down. Tears sprung into my eyes and I quickly cupped my hands together and pumping my fists into his chests, trying to get his heart beating once again.
I lowered my head and pressed my lips against his lips and breathed in, I stood back up and starting pumping his chest again.
Finally Kyle's eyes busted open and he coughed, leaned over onto his side a huge mouth full of water coughed out of his lungs and spewed out of his mouth.
My face wet with tears of joy and grabbed Kyle and hugged his head close to my chest.
"A-are... Are we dead?" Kyle blurted out, his voice slightly muffled out from his pressed into my shirt.
"No, we're saved" I answered, staring to my sides at the distant sun light hitting the canon.
We're saved.
