Chapter 3

Dinah's POV

Lauren's pancakes were da bomb!!

"Yo dawg you have skills when it comes to the kitchen!" I said scarfing down my third pancake. Lauren just laughed at me as she finally sat down with her first pancake. The entire house house had their share of the deliciousness, but sadly the poor dawg only had enough batter for one pancake. Camila alone had 5 jumbo size literal pancakes and the Emblem 3 ate like oversized truck drivers.

"I honestly know why Normani dreads waking up in the morning. Cooking the IHOP menu is not fun." Lauren sighed as she poured syrup over her pancake.

"Pero she made the trade off when we got here! She cooks for us and we give her the longest amount of bathroom time. Last night she took a 30 minute shower, by the time I got in there I might as well been showering in Alaska." I said my mouth filled pancake. Lauren laughed at my remark and was trying hard not to spit out her orange juice.

"Dinah Jane, why must you possess such humor?" Lauren spoke cutting into her pancake.

"It's a gift!" I said finishing the last bite of my pancake.

"Guys you need to hurry up an get dressed, we have to go rehearse in less than in an hour!" I heard Normani scream from the stairs.

"Pero I'll move if you can tell me I won't be showering in the Arctic this morning!" I screamed back at her. There was complete silence from upstairs.

"Ha! I ain't moving until the water heats back up!" I screamed out. Lauren let out a couple stifled laughs as she tried to hold back her orange juice again.

"If you don't move you'll be getting Lauren's bucket as your shower, Dinah Jane Hansen!" She screamed out causing me to jump out of my seat. Lauren's eyes widened as she tried to fit the rest of her pancake in her mouth.

"I'm on my up Pero!!!!!" I screamed as I sprinted out towards the stairs. As I approached the stairs I sprinted up them skipping a few steps on my way up. When I got to the top Normani was their smirking at me.

"Smart choice, dawg." She said with a laugh. I just glared at her and headed towards my bedroom. I didn't want to shower in Alaska again so I decided to just get dressed. I picked out a pair of skinny jeans, floral top, white jacket, and a pair sandals. Once I was dressed I went over to the vanity in the corner and applied my makeup, then as my final touch I pulled my hair back in a ponytail. Cute I thought as I headed out of my room.

"Was that fast enough for you Pero?" I asked as I looked over to Normani leaning against the banister, playing on her phone. She looked for a moment with a smirk smeared across her face before looking back to her phone. I walked over to her and tried to look over her shoulder to see what she was doing.

"Hey dawg, who you talking to?" I asked as she turned around, keeping the phone screen away from my line of vision.

"None of your business Dinah Jane." She said going back to her phone.

"Pero please! It's not a big deal if it's Arin!" I said as her face shot up from the screen.

"Why would it be Arin?" She stammered.

"Pero we all know that you and him had a thing going on." I spoke causing her to furrow her eyebrows. She didn't say anything for a couple of minutes.

"I just miss him.." She whispered. A lone tear rolled down her cheek. I immediately went over and wrapped her into a hug.

"Mani it's ok, you're going to see him again. XFactor is almost over and then you'll be able to see him for as long as you want." I spoke soothingly.

"We live across the country from each other, Dinah." She spoke nuzzling into my shoulder.

"Pero if we win this or Simon signs us we'll be in LA almost 24/7." I told her pulling away and taking one of her hands. She stared back into my eyes and smiled.

"You're right, Dinah Jane." She said still smiling.

"Pero I have my moments!" I said making her laugh.

"Yes, yes you do, Dinah Jane!" She said pulling me into a tight hug. Just then we heard bursting laughter as Camila came running out with Lauren on her back.

"They are so cute, OMG." I whispered as Normani nodded.

"They really need to start dating already." Normani said right before Camila came over.

"Camren's ready Mani!!" Camila said while smiling widely.

"It's looks like it, Pero!" I said causing Lauren to smile and Camila to laugh. I honestly can't see how it could be more obvious. Lauren has been like head over heels for Mila ever since they met at boot camp. I also know for a fact that Camila won't go anywhere unless Lauren is with her. I honestly wish we could just set them on a date.

Wait...maybe we can. I smiled widely.

"I'm so going to get Camren on a date." I whispered to Normani.

"Wait, how?" She whispered back.

"You'll see, but I'm going to need you and Ally's help." I whispered.

"Well I'm completely in, Dinah Jane."

Normani whispered back. My smile widened. This is going to be amazing.
