Chapter 10

Ally's POV

"OMG, look at them!" Normani exclaimed as we saw Camren fast asleep on the couch.

"Aww! Guys this was the best idea we ever had! I mean look how cute and happy they look!" I whispered as we walked passed the living room.

"I know dawgs and better yet they haven't sang better than at rehearsals today!" Dinah cheered as they entered the kitchen.

"I know! I mean did you hear Lauren's voice when she hit her part! It was absolutely incredible." I exclaimed getting a bottle of water out of the fridge.

"I didn't even notice their voices, to be honest. All I saw was the look Camila gave Lauren the entire time! It was pure adoration!" Normani said hopping up on the counter.

"Dawg that look has been plastered on her face since we were first put together!" Dinah scoffed as she took some chips out of the counter.

"Dinah's right Mani!" I said taking a sip of my water. Normani rolled her eyes stealing some of Dinah's chips.

"Whatever guys, it's just adorable the way she looks at her. Lauren looks the same way at her too, which is amazing." Normani said looking down at her feet.

"Is everything ok, Mani?" I asked walking over to her. She looked up at me with a sad expression.

"Yea, I just...want that." Normani said looking back down at her feet.

"What do you mean, Mani? You have Arin." I asked somewhat confused. She kept looking down at her feet, a sniffle escaping from her nose. I lifted up her chin and saw tears flowing down her cheeks. I quickly wrapped her up in my arms and started rubbing her back.

"Mani what happened?!" I asked still rubbing her back.

"Yea dawg? What happened?" Dinah chimed in putting a hand on her best friend's shoulder. Normani started bawling in my shoulder.

"H-he b-broke up w-with me." She stuttered out as my heart shattered into pieces.

"Oh my gosh, Mani! I'm so sorry! Shh it's ok, it's going to be ok." I said trying to calm her down.

"Yea dawg! It's going to be alright! You're going to be ok!" Dinah leaning her head on Normani's shoulder. Normani shook her head into my shoulder letting a sob.

"H-he said that he needed to focus on his career. That he couldn't risk it right now with me!" She sobbed out as a surge of anger went through me. Nobody hurts my best friend. Nobody. I pulled away from Normani and looked straight into her eyes.

"Mani listen to me, he is not worth your tears. Someone is going to come in and look at you the way the girls do. They will love you unconditionally because they will be head over heels in love with you." I exclaimed still looking into her eyes. She just nodded and leaned back to my embrace. I resumed rubbing her back and sighed while trying to calm her down. She's going to fall in love with someone worth her love. Someone who would never let her down. I know it will happen, she just needs to let it be.
