Chapter 4: The Dark Side Comes Out, And It Doesn't Have Cookies

Cat's pov:

I run a brush through my brown hair that reaches my elbows. I look into the mirror and smile, I am now finally happy with how I look. After many nights of washing my face with expensive acne creams, spending days at the beach tanning with the boys, letting my hair grow, I was finally happy with myself. And damn it feels great.

I put on my aviators and look back in the mirror. Today I was wearing an orange muscle top, dark jean shorts, multiple bracelets on my arms, my anklet, and my blue Toms. I grab my phone and walk out of the room and head towards the kitchen. "Mornin' Mary." I say smiling at the woman cooking some eggs, "Good morning Caterina, good nights rest?" Mary asks and I nod. "Yep, is Jake up yet? We're going job hunting today." I ask and she shakes her head, "He's not up yet, give it a few minutes, he'll probably be up in a few." and I nod and walk over to the stairway and lean against the wall next to it.

I pull out my phone and call Jake even though I could just go up to his room and wake him. But the real reason why I called is because of his ringtone for me on his phone. I walk up the stairs and stand in front of Jake's room. Next thing I know LMFAO's I'm Sexy And I Know It starts blasting in his room. I hear him groan and I open the door to see Jake in a star fish position on the bed, head in the pillow, reaching out blindly for his phone to shut it off. I laugh at him as he sits up slowly, "Why do you torture me like this?" he asks and I shrug and end the call.

"I get bored, you're entertaining." I say and he groans and falls back on to the bed. "Come on Jakie, we gotta find some jobs today remember?" I say and he groans again. "Don't make me have to dress you." I say in a warning tone and he gets up quickly and scrambles to the bathroom. I smirk, last time I dressed one of the boys for a day we were wearing pink and matching. It was a pink button up shirt, short man shorts that never look good, pink sandals, and a pink watch. It was all washable paint, they didn't know that until we got home though. Also they were asked out by a few gay men that day, it was hilarious.

"Better be quick Jakie! I'll be waitin' downstairs." I call over my shoulder as I walk down stairs. I walk into the kitchen and see Hayley, Derek, and Mary talking as they eat eggs, bagels, and bacon. "Why was I not invited to this delicious feast?" I ask and Derek smirks, "Because if we did you'd eat it all." and Hayley and Mary start laughing.

"Oh you're oh-so nice to me darling cousin." I say chuckling and walk over to his plate and take a piece of bacon. "MMMMMMMMMMMMMHHH SOO GOOOD!" I say moaning in Derek's face and he laughs. "Ew, ew get away! I hate when you chew with your mouth open!" I laugh and stop but go over to the cabinets and pull out a plate. I walk over to the delicious scrambled eggs that have corn, sausage, and ham in them and pile on a few scoops. I next walk to the bagels and pop one in the toaster and take out strawberry jam. I grab five pieces of bacon and wait for my bagel.

"Slow down, don't want to have to make Mary prepare more food." Hayley says teasingly and I laugh, "Can't make any promises." I say winking, "Oh and by the way, it's slow down speed racer." I say and begin to chew on a piece of bacon. The toaster dings and I pull out the bagel without thinking, I grab it and immediately drop it from how hot it is. "Shitshitshitshitshitshitshit! OH WAIT MY BAGELLLL!" I say and grab a napkin and pick up the bagel from the floor. I can hear Derek, Hayley, and Mary all laughing at me as I start to put the jam on my bagel. "I hate you all. You're all so mean to me." I say and they all laughed more.

"Woah, what's happening? What idiotic thing did Cat do this time?" Jake says as he walks into the kitchen. "Really? Why does everyone automaticly asume it's always me doing stupid things!" I say and Jake sighs, "Do I even have to answer that? Remember when you tried making a cake?" he asks and everyone starts laughing again. "That was so funny! It just went plop and fell! How could someone even forget to put eggs in a cake?" Hayley says between laughs and I scoff, "To think you were my bestfriend!" I say and I shove some eggs into my mouth.
