'Are you actually going to do this?' Kyungsoo huffed, folding his legs underneath him in an attempt to get comfortable.
Jongin was sitting in front of him, sketch pad and pencil in hand. 'Yes,' he replied, 'I am actually going to do it. Now stay still.'
As Kyungsoo huffed again, the younger began to lightly graze his pencil across the paper, marking out sections and starting to outline Kyungsoo's delicate face.
'Don't you have dance practise today?' the smaller asked, his cheeks tinged pink whenever Jongin glanced up to observe them.
'Yeah,' Jongin said, not looking up from the paper as he filled in details, 'but not until later. I can finish this before I have to go.' He met the smaller's eyes and offered him a short smile before looking down again.
'I have an itch,' Kyungsoo said bluntly. Looking up again, Jongin raised an eyebrow, before crossing the room and allowing Kyungsoo to direct his fingernails to the right spot. He scratched the smaller's nose, taking care not to apply too much pressure, then headed back to his seat and continued.
'What do I do with my face?' Kyungsoo asked after some time.
The tanned male hummed in thought. 'It's perfect like that, as usual.' Kyungsoo only flushed even redder. Jongin sat up straight and traced Kyungsoo's body with his hands in the air, narrowing his eyes in concentration. 'Just.. Your posture, try to look a little more.. picturesque.'
Kyungsoo lifted both arms and placed his hands under his chin, the fingertips just touching each other. It was usually an undeniably adorable pose, but with slumped shoulders and emotionless eyes, the small male only succeeding in looking extremely sarcastic.
Jongin grimaced, halting his sketching for a moment to look at his boyfriend. 'Never mind,' he said. 'Just act natural.'
So Kyungsoo dropped his hands and leaned back on the bed, deciding that the most natural position would come if he wasn't concentrating.
Consequently, he found himself lost in his thoughts in a matter of seconds. And, as usual, his mind wandered back to the ongoing case of his feelings.
Despite the boredom that this was bringing him, Kyungsoo couldn't help but enjoy the moment. It was a time that could be spent with Jongin which he could easily appreciate.
They spent lots of time together, of course, but he didn't have many chances to simply sit and watch the other. He watched the way Jongin stuck his tongue out as he focused on his work; the way his face got closer and closer to the page until Kyungsoo was sure his eyes must be crossing and the paper blurring; the way his gaze occasionally met the smaller's, and he would offer him a shy smile before returning to the drawing.
Everything he did - every touch, every movement - was so angelic to Kyungsoo. He often wondered how one boy could possess so much beauty, both inside and out, from his sun-kissed skin to his deep brown eyes.
Kyungsoo never believed anyone could be perfect; he always thought it was impossible. But Jongin was an exception. Everything about him was just flawless.
'Finished,' Jongin said softly, leaning back from the drawing and looking at the smaller, who was already crossing the room to see.
Kyungsoo stared at the drawing. Jongin wasn't lying; he had brilliant skills.
But there was something more about it, something deeper than just the contrasts of dark and light. The boy's eyes were distant and unfocused, but they were filled with emotions - pain and suffering deep down, but much closer to the surface was happiness, adoration and.. love.
