The evening of the dreaded business party soon rolled around and Kyungsoo was twiddling his thumbs, waiting for Jongin to arrive.
Kyungsoo's plan to reveal their relationship to his parents was risky; it would happen at the party, where all of the most successful business representatives from around the world would be, ready to celebrate the opening of the newest Cheonsa Hotel chain. It would happen at the party, where the press and media would gather like flies to capture some of the most famous faces in Asia. It would happen at the party, where everyone would be watching.
The only problem was, Jongin didn't quite know it yet.
'How do I look?' was the first thing he asked when he arrived.
Dressed in the expensive suit that he had escaped in the other night and with his hair styled in a smart quiff, he looked magnificent. Well, at least to Kyungsoo.
The owl-eyed boy was stunned silent in the doorway, one hand holding his weight on the door frame as he gaped at his tanned boyfriend. 'You look..'
As his features contorted with nerves, Jongin waited for the smaller to finish his sentence.
'.. amazing,' Kyungsoo breathed, his eyes sliding over the slim figure standing before him.
'You really think so?' Jongin asked, his voice laced with uncertainty.
'I know so,' the older grinned, pulling him inside the house.
The next two hours were spent with Jongin sitting back on the smaller's king-sized bed, watching the owl-eyed boy fly around the room in an attempt to quickly get dressed. Once his suit was on, he ran a few gel coated fingers through his hair, eliminating the messy bed hair he had previously been flourishing.
Clothes, check. Hair, check. Flawless boyfriend, check. Kyungsoo breathed a sigh of exhaustion; it was time they finally got their butts to the party.
The drive was quiet, save for Jongin's breathy 'whoa's of astonishment every now and then as they neared the venue. Along the sidewalk were several well-known business figures, all dressed from head to toe in expensive clothing and accessories.
Sparkles and sequins glistened under the light of the moon and tiny white lights still dotted Jongin's vision when he looked away. Just as he did so, a warm hand came to rest on top of his thigh.
A little surprised at the sudden contact, Jongin traced the hand upwards to its owner. He frowned in concern at Kyungsoo's worried expression. 'Hyung?'
'Jongin..' Kyungsoo started, unable to meet Jongin's eyes. As he had been watching said male stare out of the car windows in awe, he had forgotten all about the fact that the press and media would be buzzing around them in approximately two minutes. Taking a deep breath, he looked up and met the younger's concerned gaze. 'Jongin, I'm going to introduce you as my boyfriend tonight.'
After releasing a breath that he hadn't known he was holding, Jongin chuckled lightly and took his hyung's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. 'I know that, Kyungsoo. I've been preparing myself for meeting your parents ever since you mentioned this party.'
Kyungsoo looked down at the hand enclosing his. He turned it around and intertwined their fingers. 'Not just my parents, Jongin. The media, too. The press. Everyone.' He looked up again now, bringing his other hand up to cup Jongin's cheek. The younger's eyebrows had raised at the mention of the media and the press but, to Kyungsoo's relief, he didn't seem too freaked out. 'I want everyone to know that you're mine and I'm yours.'
After a moment of staring at the pale boy, Jongin placed his free hand over Kyungsoo's one on his cheek, a soft smile making its way onto his lips. 'That's alright,' he said. 'The public were always going to find out one way or another, right? You being the heir to COEUS Group and all.'
