I’m seriously having a hard time at this exact moment. My ass is friggin’ stiff and numb! I can’t feel anything at my bottom. For the whole thirteen hours, I’ve been sitting or lying in this god awful plane chair, only standing to go to the lavatory.
But the good thing is that I’m sitting next to a total hunk. Damn, when I plopped down on my seat before the plane took off, I didn’t notice him. And as I remembered I was acting like a fool, humming some weird notes and dancing a little in the cramped space in my seat.
As I dropped my phone next to the feet of the one sitting next to me, he picked it up and that’s the time I saw his god-like face. He seriously looks like a Greek god. Not only his face, but also his body is sculpted to perfection. His fitted gray shirt is like a second skin to him and it outlines his toned abdomen. I didn’t snap out of my trance until I heard him chuckle.
“What?” I raised my eyebrows at him.
“You’re cute with your eyes so wide like that,” he smiled.
“Well, you’re hot,” I said bluntly, my eyes raking over his body.
He must not have seen me checking him out or he decided to ignore me because he just laughed. And his laughter was so seductive and musical to the ears. “Well, I really work hard for this,” he said, gesturing towards his body.
I just stared at him until he asked me what’s wrong. “You’re just different from other guys. I expect you to be cocky, you know? Like all those hot, egoistic jerks.”
“Ouch, stereotyping, aren’t we?” his eyes twinkled in amusement.
“Sorry,” I mumbled.
“It’s okay. I’ll just take it as a compliment,” he smiled at me again. He really has a nice smile, showing his perfect set of white pearly teeth. “I didn’t take you as a blunt type of girl, too. I was expecting you to blush like other girls or flirt with me.”
And I laughed at what he just said. “Me? Blush? Are you serious? With this color of skin, do you think you’ll see blush on my face?”
“Why? What’s wrong with your skin tone?”
“I just don’t know how I can blush in this super tanned skin. We have dark complexions. I don’t see how you can see us blush. “
“We’ll see about that,” he said, determined.
For the rest of the plane ride, we talked and joked around and laughed our asses off, receiving glares from the older people and a few ‘sssh’. I learned that his name is Josh and he’s heading to L.A. to go back to school. He’s currently a freshman in UCLA and he only went to the Philippines for some important meetings that his father can’t make. I was really having fun when he said something that totally ruined the moment.
“You do know I’m gay, right?”
My laughing immediately stopped and I looked at him, searching for something to tell that he’s just joking. But his face was one hundred percent serious.
“What the hell?” I half whispered, half shouted at him, looking so dumb. “Why did you just tell me now? You should’ve told me earlier. What if I didn’t know that and then I fell in love with you right away because you’re just this unique guy; all nice and smart and hot, it’s what every dreams of having, you know. You’re like boyfriend material and all . . .”
“What? You’re in love with me? So soon?” he cut me off.
“Of course not! I was just saying ‘if’. Gosh!” I ran a hand through my tangled mess of hair. It became messy while I was taking a nap awhile back. “How can you be gay? You’re like super hot and stuff and so handsome and you don’t act like you . . .” I suddenly stopped when realization hit me. I looked at him and narrowed my eyes. “That’s why you weren’t flirting with me! That’s why you’re not so cocky and acting all mighty despite your extremely good looks!”
