We think shiny objects
are worth something,
not the prices they're given.
Always thinking someday the way we have
perceived these objects will change.
The things that glisten make us in a
way that our vision becomes distorted.
We imagine things can get better. When we
want something, we will get it.
But this determination isn't how
I want to see a shiny object. I
am tired of seeing the world this way. I've
seen the world from a distorted window
as everything is sugarcoated.
A simple coin will be seen as gold when it is merely a
rusted metal. An overpriced dress is seen as the only
piece that can comfort one's needs.
Of course, those shiny objects compare to
nothing when one shatters their view to see the world's true colors.
