Chapter 4: Reveal to One to Relief

I led Jake deep into the woods far away from the house. I didn't want anyone to hear us or follow us. Once we were deep enough, I turned around and faced him. I made sure to put my reflective barrier up so that nobody couldn't hear us. He had the right to know.

"I know that you don't want Bella to die from the baby in her stomach and you being angry with Edward. She still wants to change into a vampire," I said to him. "I just hate it," he said in anger. I knew that he had feelings for her. He didn't like seeing Bella this way. He looked like he could shift into the big wolf in seconds.

He looked at me. "What about you? Aren't you going to be one of the bloodsuckers sooner or later?" he asked me. {Guess I'll have to reveal to him.} "There is really no need for me to be one. I'm already one of them as it is in a way," I said to him. He looked at me with a bit of anger but, he was a bit confused as well.

"You are not a blood sucker. You don't even smell like one of them," he told me. I looked at him in the eyes. "Have you ever heard of psychic vampires?" I asked him. He shook his head. "They are almost like humans than vampires. We don't feed on blood. We feed off of energy. I don''t feed off of human energy though," I said to him.

"What's the difference?" he asked me. "We can still eat real food, sleep, get sick, and everything like a human. Female psychic vampires can have kids if she was originally human. We are also immortal," I explained to him.

"I think it's better for Bella to change into a psychic vampire than a blood sucker. She is still living in a way," he said to me. I let out a sigh. "It's not easy to change someone into a psychic vampire though. Their are restrictions," I said to him.

"Is there anyway to change her into one?" he asked me. "I can personally change her if I discuss it with my brother who is the head of the family. Then again, I'm part head of the family," I said to him. He gave me a nod. "I hope you can keep this conversation a secret. The Cullen don't know yet," I said to him. "Sure," he said to me.

{I guess I made him feel a bit better.} "I need to go," he said to me. I gave him a nod. I watched him disappear into the trees. I made my way back alone. After a while, I walked into the house and was engulfed in Jasper's arms.

"Are you alright?" I heard him ask. I pulled away and gave him a nod. "I'm fine," I assured him. He led me back to the family. It was a bit difficult for me to watch Bella. She didn't look healthy at all. Her skin looked really pale.

After a while, I decided to walk to my room to email my brother and to see if I had any news from him about the situation.

Dear Beverly,

I had been researching. So far, there isn't much progress. I don't think there are any records that are similar to your situation. I wouldn't even think that it is possible in blood feeding vampires considering that they drink human blood.

I'll keep working on it. The kids miss you by the way.

P.S.: I got news from Texas that our Uncle had been killed in a house fire. The house was a lit by a cigar. I made plans to go there and sort out the property and such. I'll email you soon about it. I know that he didn't give anything to you.

I felt so much relief. My nightmare was over. I could finally have peace. Tears were coming down my face. I remembered the pain, torture, and abuse. One memory at a time, they disappeared from the back of my mind.

Knock....Knock....

I turned my head over to the door. "Come in," I said. I made sure to close my laptop. Jasper came walking into the room. I saw him look concern for me. "What's wrong darlin? Why are you crying?" he asked me.

He walked over to me and held me in his arms. "I got an email from my brother. My uncle was killed in a house fire." He tightened his hold on me. "I'm fine now. I feel so much relief that he is gone for good," I said to him.

I felt him kiss me on the forehead. "I got worried about you. I felt your mood change in a snap. I thought something bad had happened to you," he said to me. I pulled away and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"I'm sorry. I feel so much better now. I don't have to think about him anymore," I said to him. He gave me a nod.

Next day.........

I woke up from the front door open and close very loudly. {Who is that?} Next thing I knew, Jasper came into the room. He looked very serious. "Jasper? What's wrong?" I asked him. He didn't say anything. I got out of bed and walked over to him.

"What's wrong?" I asked him again. Jasper got my bathrobe and wrapped it around me in a hurry. I was starting to get scared. I hadn't seen him act this way since the battle with the newborns. "Jasper. Can you please tell me? You're scaring me."

He stopped and looked at me. "Everyone is waiting for us downstairs. We need to see them right now," he said to me with urgency. He lift me up and carried me to the living room. I saw Jacob, Leah, and Seth. {What are they doing here?}

Jasper sat me down on the sofa and stood next to me. Jacob said that the pack were planning to attack us. You got to be kidding me!" I said out loud. Of all things, the pack was going to kill Bella because she was carrying the vampire baby.

Jasper was very alarmed and looked at Carlisle.

"I don't think it's a good idea for Beverly to be around when the fight happens," Jasper said. I looked up at him. "I'm not leaving you. You can't make me," I tried to convince him. He shook his head. "I can't let you get hurt," he said to me.

"There is a chance that the pack may kidnap her or if you were to go with her Jasper, you would be killed," Carlisle said to him. "The girls will have to be watched at all times," Esme concluded. Jasper agreed.

This was just a start.
