Chapter 9: Work Together

I was waiting in my room looking out of the window. Brent was coming with his wife and kids. I told him about the situation. He thought that he should be involved. I was hoping that he would be able to help us.

Soon, I saw his car coming out of the woods and in front of the house. I got out of my room and walked out to the front to greet them. Brent came out of the car with a smile on his face. I hadn't seen him in person for a very long time.

He had his arms wide open. I was going to hug him until my arms became full with my two special kids. "Derek and Sandy. You guys grown so much," I said to them. I was so happy to see them. They grew quite a bit.

"We missed you Auntie," they said in unison. I kissed them both. I looked up to see Dawn and Brent. I gave them a hug. "I heard from Brent. I'm sorry," Dawn said to me. I gave her a nod. "It's okay. Jasper had a good reason," I told her.

Brent gave me a nod. I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around to see everyone there. Carlisle came in front. "Welcome," Carlisle said to them. I walked them to Carlisle. "Carlisle. This is my brother Brent and his family. They came to help," I told him.

I could see relief in Edward's expression a bit. "My sister had told me what had been going on. It had been a long time since I came in front of the Volturi. We normally don't get involved with them and their kinds," my brother explains to him.

Carlisle gave him a nod. Brent and Dawn made our way into the house to his office. I took the kids to the kitchen. "You two hungry?" I asked him. "Yes," they told me. I gave them a smile and walked over to the fridge to see what to make.

I heard footsteps. I turned my head to see Esme. "Need help?" she asked me. "Yes please," I told her. I got the kids onto stools while Esme got some pans out to make some food. We made some pasta for them.

After cooking, I set their plates in front of them. "Thank you," they said in unison and ate their food. Esme gave me a plate too. "You need to eat," she told me. I gave her a nod. I sat on a stool and ate my plate.

Two hours later.......

Carlisle and Brent came out of the office and met everyone in the living room. Edward and Bella listened to the plan. I knew that I made good decision to call my brother for help. I stayed with the kids. I listened to the plan.

The plan was to have the werewolves and the vampires go to a field to meet with the Volturi. My family were going to come out a little later. I was going to stay with my brother since we were the heads of the family and the psychic vampire community.

So I had to pack my bags and leave with my family by the end of today to speak with the rest of the psychic community about our plan.

I got my suitcase and made my way down the stairs. I saw Edward, Bella, and Renesmee outside. As I walked outside, Renesmee ran up to me and gave me a hug. "Do you have to leave?" she asked me.

I bent down to her eye level. " I have to in order to protect you. I'll be back. Don't worry," I told her. I looked at Edward and Bella. I gave them a smile. "See you guys later," I told them. "Be careful," Bella told me.

I gave her a nod. Brent put my back in the trunk. I got in the back of the car with the kids.

Next day......

We arrived back at the house. I was so happy to see the house. Kevin walked out of the house. I waved at him. "Nice to see you again," I told him. "It is nice to see you too," he told me. I walked into the house with the kids to see the other psychic vampires inside.

Brent stood in front of them. "We may go into battle with the Volturi," he told them. They gave him a nod. "I thought we aren't suppose to be involved with blood feeding vampire issues," Sophia said to us.

"My sister is a mate to a blood feeding vampire. Her mate's coven is in danger. You know what that means," Brent told her. "The coven is in our protection. We will be facing the Volturi," he told them. Nobody dared to talk back to him.

Winter.....

I hated the cold. I was in my room with a tiny fever when I got a phone call from Bella. It was time for us to face the Volturi. I had to be brave. The kids and Dawn were staying behind. We dressed in black and had to wear our cloaks. The cloaks had our coven seal.

Dawn gave me my cloak. It wasn't grey like the rest of the coven. It was royal purple. "This is made for you. This should keep you warm," she told me. I took the cloak in my hands. "Thank you Dawn," I told her and gave her a hug. I gave a hug to the kids and made my trip back to Forks.

Everyone drove to our destination. We were able to drive the cars to the woods. We had to make the rest of the journey by foot. Brent and Kevin made sure to lead everyone through the woods. Occasionally, Brent would make sure that I was okay. I was feeling very warm.

Soon, we saw a clearing. I could see Carlisle with the other vampires on one side and the Volturis on the other side. Near the Volturi, I saw familiar face. "Alice. Jasper." There were right there. Near them, I saw two other vampires.

Brent looked at me. "Are you ready?" he asked me. I gave him a nod. "Lets get this over with," I told him. Brent gave a signal to the group. We weren't nervous about facing the blood feeding vampires. They couldn't hurt us.

We made our way towards them. They looked at us.

This was a start.
