Chapter 8: Saddness and Help

We all gathered in another room. Carlisle gave a book to Bella to look at. I stood with Jasper who held me in his arms. Carlisle began to tell the story about immortal children. They were forbidden in the vampire world.

The Denalis had an immortal child long ago. Their mother was executed by the Volturi. The child was destroyed as well. They broke the law. Vampire children could not be trained. They could wipe out a whole village with a cry.

"So Irina thinks that Renesmee is an immortal child," I said out loud. Carlisle gave me a nod. They began to come up with a plan to gather witnesses and to protect themselves with the Volturi. I was getting worried.

After the family meeting, Jasper led to my room. Once in my room, I decided to take a shower. I got into the bathroom and started a steamy shower. {Poor Renesmee.} I didn't think that she would be trouble to the family. It wasn't Bella's fault or anything.

After drying my hair, I made my way to the bed to see Jasper waiting for me. He looked like he was deep in thought. "Jasper," I called out to him. He looked up at me. "Are you alright?" I asked him as I walked to him.

He gave me a nod. I sat down on the bed next to him. "It's getting late. You need to sleep," he told me. He pulled me up with him. He pulled the covers and gently laid me on the bed. It was nice of him to tuck me in.

He got under the covers next to me. I snuggled against him. "Good night," I said to him. "Good night. I love you," he said to me. "I love you too," I said in return. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and drifted off to sleep.

Next day.....

I felt around the bed. "Jasper?" I called out tired. I heard no response. I opened my eyes to see that I was by myself on the bed. "Jasper?" I called out again a little louder. I got out of the bed and made my way to the living room.

Rosalie was there. "Rosalie?" I called out to her. She turned her head. "Do you know where Jasper is?" I asked her. She shook her head. "We think that he left with Alice," she said to me. {What?} I couldn't believe that he left.

I felt tears forming in my eyes. Rosalie got up and pulled me into her arms. "Don't worry. Everything will be alright. I'm sure that they went to find help," she tried to assure me. I didn't say anything. I was very upset.

I saw Esme come into the room. "I made breakfast for you," she told me. "I'm not hungry," I told her. I saw a frown on her face. "I'm sorry," I told her. I knew that she would be worried if I didn't eat anything.

I turned around and made my way up to my room. I felt so lost. Once in my room, I locked the door and walked over to my bed. I started to cry. I already missed Jasper very much. It hurt me so much that he wasn't here.

"Why? Jasper....why did you leave me?" I sobbed out.

I looked down at my engagement ring on my finger. We were suppose to be together. He wasn't suppose to leave me. He didn't even tell me anything. I knew that something was wrong with him. He lied to me.

I hugged my pillow for comfort.

Hours later.....

I woke up feeling dizzy and with a headache. I had cried myself to sleep. I hadn't eaten all day. Looking around the room, I noticed a letter on my nightstand. I picked up the letter to see that it was from Jasper.

Darlin,

I'm so sorry for leaving you. Alice and I are trying to find witnesses to help Renesmee against the Volturi. We need to find many witnesses as we can.  We will be back when the snow starts to stick to the ground.

I love you with all my heart Beverly. Stay strong for me.

Love Jasper.

I folded the letter. He had a reason to leave me.

Few days later......

IT was decided that everyone was to travel around to their friends for help. Edward, Bella, and Renesmee went to Alaska to meet with the Denalis. Carlisle and Esme were going to Egypt to meet with a friend.

I had no idea where Rosalie and Emmett were going. Jacob was going to talk with Sam and the pack about a plan to work with the vampires. For my safety, I was to stay in my room. Carlisle wanted me to use my powers so that I wouldn't be harmed by other vampires who were going to stay with us.

Few days later....

The house was filled with vampires. We had vampires who were nomads and vampires who came from deep in the amazon. I hadn't met them in person yet. I wasn't allowed to walk outside of the room.

Knock...Knock.....

"Come in," I said out loud. The door opened to reveal Carlisle, Esme, Tanya, and Kate. Esme came over to me and gave me a hug. "How are you feeling?" she asked me with concern. "I'm fine," i told her.

"Did you eat while we were gone?" Esme asked me. I gave her a nod. Carlisle came up to me and gave me a check up. Everyone had been very concerned for me since Jasper left the family with Alice. I hadn't heard from him at all.

Tanya and Kate talked to me about their view of the whole situation. They believed that Renesmee was harmless. I believed that Renesmee was harmless as well. I didn't see any problems. They were very nice as company.

After an hour, they left the room. I knew that Bella was going to need more witnesses. I looked out the window to see everyone. {It's not enough. They need more witnesses.} I started to get worried until I thought of something.

I decided to make an important phone call. I got my phone and called someone who I thought could help.

"Brent. I need your help."
