Hey! This a day late. Oops way to busy yesterday/ early this morning. I hope yo like the chapter! The picture is what Alex is wearing to the Tribute Dinner, that's in the next chapter. Enjoy!
*********************I wake up to someone shaking me. I scream and a hand covers my mouth. "Alex! It's only me Stacy! Choe is here." I calm down.
"Who's Choe?" I ask.
"Your stylist." She says. "Now get of bed he wants to work early with you. What do you want for breakfast?"
"Umm, toast with butter and water."
"No coffee?"
"No." I don't drink coffee every morning. I get up and get dressed and Stacy comes in and gives me my breakfast. I gobble it up and leave the tray on the fridge. "Hello?" I turn around and see a man. "I'm Choe. Your stylist."
"Hi."
"Anyways why don't you sit down so we can get started." I sit down on my couch. Choe whistles and then instantly there's like 30 people in my room. Four people move the coffee table. 2 people bring in what looks like makeup and putting it in the bathroom. 3 people come over and stand by Cinna and they smile at me. 3 people bring in four carts of dresses. "Everyone is excused." Everyone leaves except the people standing by Choe. "Ok, Alex please go into the bathroom we are doing your hair and makeup." I follow him into the bathroom and down on a stool. Choe and the three people work for about two hours, while that time, they put on foundation, plucked my eyebrows to the perfect size, did my makeup, and hair. My makeup is very pretty. The eye shadow is dark blue and eyeliner is black and I have eyelash extensions. My lips are a shade of pink. My hair is put up in a bun with braids going around my head. "Ok, this part is finished." Choe helps me get up. He walks over to the cart with all the dresses and pulls out a dark blue and white dress. The top part is dark blue lace and the bottom is white and fluffy. I put the dress on and it fits perfectly its about a inch above my knees. "I love it!" I say. Choe and his crew smile. "When's the tribute dinner?"
"Today" Choe says.
"No, what time?"
"Oh, 5:00" He leaves the room and so does the crew. I get up and twirl around my room. I fall onto my bed. I get up and sit on the couch and watch TV. The Capitol news is on.
"Goooooood Morning! I'm Scotts Valleyson. Your host of Good Day Capitol." Scotts Valleyson, he's blonde but dyes his hair a new color every Actor Games this year its black. "I have news on The Actor Games. Its a very unique turnout. Four volunteers, one from an outer district. 12, to be exact. I can't wait for the show to start on Sunday. They'll take the stage sing and dance and ahh. Its going to be great! The tribute dinner is night. Its so exciting. I won't be there so its not going to be that exciting. Haha. I hope to see you all soon. Good day Capitol!" Then it ends. Good ol Scotts. I decide to leave my room and go downstairs. "Alex, we need to go over this week until Sunday!" Eleanor shrieks. I sigh and walk down the stairs. I hear gasps, a lot of gasps. "Alex." Justin says. I smile at him and sit on the couch next to Choe. "Gorgeous, Alex." I blush. "Well, what an entrance." We all turn around and see the president. "President Bolton! Its a pleasure." Eleanor says. "As always Eleanor. I would just like to speak with Alex." Eleanor looks at me and I get up. President Bolton places her arm on my back and we walk. I turn around and look at everyone, they smile. She leads me to the elevator. "I would like to talk over lunch."
She says. "Yes, of course." I reply.
"Very well then." Its silent during the ride to the restaurant. When we get there a waiter seats us on the deck outside. We order our drinks and sit in silence. "Miss. Shakespear, I am President Bolton."
"Yes, I know." I say.
"I want to know why you volunteered for your sister."
"Well, I volunteered because my sister means a lot to me. She doesn't know anything about acting, so I needed to help her, she still has a life to live."
"And so do you Miss. Shakespear."
"I realize that, but she wouldn't be able to do this."
"How about you? Can you do this?"
"I-" I stop because our waiter comes back with our drinks. "Cashmere, we don't want to eat." President Boloton says. He nods and leaves us. "Miss. Shakespear did you realize that because you volunteered there have been uprisings around Actil?"
"I had no clue."
"Uprisings are a very bad thing. People thinking they can do what ever they want. At times like this, that is a very bad idea."
"I'm sorry, but why did the people do this because of me?" I ask.
"You are a symbol. You have proved that anyone can volunteer. Even a girl who may be famous, but is from an outer district."
"I still don't understand."
"Oh, well you will soon." She says. What? We finish our drinks and get up to leave. We walk to the elevator and continue our conversation. "Now, again." She says after two minutes. "Can you handle this?"
"I think I can."
"There is no thinking. You must know if you can handle being a symbol for our country."
"I can, Mrs. President."
"I expect you not to be a disappointment to the Games.' The elevator stops and I get out of the elevator. "Have a nice day" She says with a sickening grin. The doors close and she leaves. This conversation disturbed me. She said things that I didn't understand. "Alex! Your back!" Eleanor says. "Come, sit down. Justin sent shopping. We need to go over the schedule"
"Alright." I say.
"Here's the list, read it, memorize it, deal with it." She says while handing me the list. "Bye!"
"Wait! Where are you going?" I ask.
"Shopping!" She says and leaves. I sigh and go to my room. I read the list.Tuesday: Tribute Dinner
Wedsenday: Tribute Parade & Rehearsal
Thursday: Rehearsal
Friday: Rehearsal
Saturday: Rehearsal & Interviews
Sunday: The GamesThat was the list. What is rehearsal? Oh well. I lay down on my bed and stare at the ceiling."Oh, you will soon." What does she mean. "I expect you not to be a disappointment to the Games." I don't get anything right now.
