Under the giant pool of water I saw a small figure up a head and swam forward to see a small girl gurgling water. Her foot was trapped in the staircase barrier and she needed help. Quickly.
I had to surface before I ran out of breath and as I did so, I saw a glimmer of light. Coming down to help the girl, I saw it again and realised it was a piece of glass, about the size of my pinkie finger sticking out of the girls hand. I pulled it out without even going through the consequences in my head.
Blood swarmed into the blue water before clearing up. That's when a certain, unhelpful thought occurred to me 'Dur Du Dur Du Dur Du' I scrambled as fast as I could to get the girl unhooked from the staircase barrier.
Just as I managed to I saw a very large figure in the distance. My first thought was to scream and hide but then I realised that this girl was growing heavier and heavier by the second.
I swam as fast as I could, relieved that I did swimming lessons, to the top. Just as we surfaced, the little girl slumped heavily against my shoulder and to make matters worse a sharp point appeared around 20 metres away from where I was treading water.
The girl was choking on something and I had to pat her back with force until a bucketful of water tumbled out her mouth.
I heard one sound come out of her mouth, "Mummy," before I felt something rough, like a cats tongue, brush my leg.
~~~
Wow. She is truly a hero lol.
I remember when I wrote this story..... I thought it was actually good XD. It's so weird but oh well.
