It was around six in the morning when I was woken up by the most excruciating cramps. I turned onto my side and faced Mingyu, who slept peacefully, his arm wrapped around my waist. I closed my eyes and hoped the pain would subside. But instead, the pain was getting worse and I started to make me tear up. As soon as the pain got to the point that it was making me silently sob, I knew I had to take some sort of painkiller. I wiggled out of Mingyu's grasp and headed to the bathroom, where everything for these occasions were kept. I searched through the cupboards, looking for some paracetamol.
"God damnit, where are those stupid things?" I said in frustration, trying to ignore the pain.
"(Y/N)?" A sleepy-looking Mingyu walked into the bathroom, but as soon as he saw my pained expression, he seemed to wake up. "What's wrong?"
"I have really bad cramps and I can't find the painkillers," I pouted.
Mingyu walked over to me, softly kissing my forehead. "Let's get you back to bed. I'll find everything for you, so don't worry. You just stay in bed, where you can be comfy."
He led me back to the bedroom, allowing me to hop onto the bed before wrapping countless blankets on me.
"I'll go get you the painkillers, alright?" I nodded. "Now just lie back and relax."
Mingyu shuffled back into the bathroom, coming out a few minutes later with a glass of water and some painkillers. He handed the cup to me and placed the tablets in my hand. I put them in my mouth, hurriedly chasing them down with the water. I put the cup on the bedside table and smiled gratefully at Mingyu. He smiled back and kissed my forehead.
"Because it's," he looked at the clock, "almost seven and I don't think we'll be sleeping for a while, I'm going to make myself a coffee. Would you like one?"
I nodded eagerly, "if you wouldn't mind."
"Two coffees, coming right up!" he slipped on his dressing gown and headed towards the kitchen.
A few seconds later Mingyu came back, slipping into the bed, waiting for the kettle to boil. He wrapped his arms around my waist, nuzzling his head in the crook of my neck.
"Don't be in pain!" He kissed my neck. "I'll make you feel better!"
"Thanks, Jagi," I smiled, kissing the top of his head.
"Oh!" his head popped up, "that was the kettle. I'll be back with our coffee!" he detached himself from my waist and headed back into the kitchen.
A few crashes, and many of swearwords later, Mingyu carefully walked in with our mugs of steaming coffee. He placed them on the bedside table, smiling at me sweetly.
"I'll be back," he suddenly left the room.
In a matter of seconds he was back in the room, handing me a hot water bottle, wrapped in a blue cover. He got back in bed, placing it on my stomach.
"Is that better?" he grabbed his cup of coffee.
I nodded, kissing his cheek, "much better, thank you."
"No problem," he grinned, "I'm going to go make breakfast now. Do you want to stay in bed and rest or come with me?"
"I'll come with you. I don't want to be here all alone," I stood up, placing the hot water bottle under my shirt, using the waistband of my pyjama pants to hold it in place.
"Alright, let's go! Don't forget your coffee," Mingyu waited for me at the door as I grabbed my mug.
He held out his hand for me to take. When I did, he entwined our fingers, leading us to the kitchen.
"So," he let go of my hand and put his cup on the bench. "What would you like for breakfast?"
I pulled a chair over to the bench and sat down, watching Mingyu wash his hands and put his cute, little apron on.
I took a sip of my coffee, "Do we have pancakes?"
"We sure do!" he pulled out a bowl, "I'll start making the batter."

Ten minutes later Mingyu had started cooking the pancakes, stacking them all on a plate. Occasionally he would flip the pancakes in the air, shouting in triumph whenever he caught it back in the pan. I laughed at his childishness, my cramps long forgotten. The hot water bottle had started to get cold, so I decided to take it out of my shirt and leave it next to my chair.
"Do you think that's enough?" Mingyu nodded towards the plate of pancakes.
"Hmm, yeah, that'll be enough," I smiled.
"Yeah, you're right. If we want more, we can make some," he handed me two plates and two forks. "Can you take these to the dining table please?"
"Sure," I grabbed them and set them out on the table.
A few seconds later he walked into the room with the stack of pancakes, putting it between our empty plates.
"We need some maple syrup. Could you put some pancakes onto my plate while I go get it?" I nodded as Mingyu ran back into the kitchen.
I sat down and placed a mini stack on both of our plates. Mingyu skipped back into the room, balancing a bottle of syrup, a tub of ice cream and box of mixed berries.
"I came prepared," he laughed, putting them on the table, "dig in!"
I grinned happily, shoving everything onto my pancakes, shoving a huge forkful into my mouth. Mingyu looked at me, his eyes raised in question.
"What?" I looked up at him innocently.
"You seem really hungry today," he laughed.
"Fight me," I grumbled, shoving another forkful in my mouth.
Mingyu just laughed, going back to eating his own pancakes. We were relatively silent, the sounds of our forks hitting the plates echoing off the walls.
"So," he started, offering me a spoonful of ice cream, "I was thinking we play some Mortal Kombat, so you can let out all of your anger."
"Sounds awesome," I ate the ice cream, smiling happily.
"Nice. Let's clean up and get this party started," Mingyu put the plates in the sink, running towards the lounge room.
I laughed as he jumped onto the couch, patting the spot next to him. I walked over, snuggling up next to him. Mingyu kissed my cheek and wrapped me up in a giant bear hug, rolling around on the couch. I screamed in surprise and Mingyu laughed. He finally let go, sitting up and handed me the second controller.
"Get ready to have your ass beaten," he smirked playfully at me.
I wiggled closer to Mingyu, ready to play.
"You're on."
