LAYLA'S P.O.V
"Are you going for lunch ?" Dorcas asked as she was about going for lunch
"No am gonna wait for Dax"
"You know I saw the school bus pass by a few minutes ago" she said thoughtfully
"Really?"
"Yeah so you better check on Marcy if she did pick him up with Ceaser"
"Okay. Thanks Dorcas"
"I gotta go, my stomach doth protest" she replied smiling
"See you later" I called out
I picked up my phone and called Marcy immediately, she picked up on the third ring
"Hey" she said breathlessly
"Am I calling at a wrong time?" I ask
She chuckled and then spoke to someone in the background and from my guess I know its Drake
"Actually you are--"she said and I could tell she was smiling
"Really?"
"Yeah, its our anniversary so Drake whisked me off to some place extremely romantic"
She sounded sooo happy
"Oww that's great news. Anyways is Dax with you?"
"No he is not here but I did pick him up from school"
"Is he with Lionel?"
"No hon, he is not with Lionel. I dropped him off with Dart"
"What?!" I screamed into the phone
"Hey its a better choice right? With Dart being his daddy and all"
Ohhh my god! I was soooo dead!!
"Umm...yeahh I guess so...I gotta go Marcy...and hey do have fun" I said as I started picking up my things from my office table
I rushed out of the office. Dax with Dart was a very bad idea. My son had a very big mouth and am sure he won't keep shut and Dart being smart and all, he was going to put two and two together and know what's up. I drove like I was crazy, I didn't care if I got a ticket, I just have to get my son
I got to the beach house in no time and parked my car outside. Thank God the door was open, I rushed in. I heard voices coming from the sitting room, I stopped in my tracks when I heard Dart ask Dax
"What's your name?"
Ohh baby don't answer that!
"Dax Sullivan Tegg"Dax replied
Oh no! Baby you shouldn't have!
"Your mom...what's your mum's name?"Dart asked with a voice laden with emotion
C'mon its time! That's your cue to speak!!
"why don't you ask him mum Dart seeing she is here and all' i finally say as i step into view
Dax's face lit up when he saw me
"mom!" he squeled as he rushed into my arms, i couldn't help but smile at his strong display of feelings
"hey baby, how are you?" i kneel down close to Dax trying desparately not to look at Dart
"am fine" he replied smiling at me
"hi aunt Layla" Ceaser greeted as he looked up slightly from his drawing
"hey handsome" i reply still not looking at Dart. i felt his eyes boring holes into the back of my head
