My bedroom door creaked as I opened it and hobbled out with the aid of crutches. I could hear noises coming from the living room so I just followed my ears.

The 2 weeks that I have been here have flown by. In the time that I have been here everybody has welcomed me with open arms. I have especially gotten lose to Angel, Gail, and Eli, all the people that I had first met due to spending more time with them. Hunter has been really busy lately with council meetings. These council meetings are usually about the town and financial situations. It includes members of the council and people that Hunter calls Elders.

Hunter has been really considerate even when he didn't have time for me. He always making sure I had something to do even if he was extremely busy. One day he even let me call my mother, who might I add, wasn't even worried about me since the last time I called her and said I was visiting friends near the mountain. I just stuck with the same story and said I would try to call again later, letting her know I wasn't going to be home for a while.

After that I called Reagan who you could say was freaking out.The conversation went like this. After dialing with Hunter's phone, since I had lost mine in the crash, Reagan had greeted with a questioning hello seeing as she didn't regonize the caller I'd.

"Is that really you?" She asked in a calm voice once I let her know who it was.

"Yes"

"You Novella are a bitch!" She screamed into the phone "Your car was here and I freaked out because you weren't answering your cell phone. God don't scare me like that."

"Don't worry I met up with some old friends outside the club and we agreed to go up to the mountains to hang. I'm sorry I forgot to call you. My phone is broken so I couldn't get a hold of you, silly me forgot your number until now" I crossed my fingers hoping she would believe me.

"You're a horrible friend"

"I know"

"So what do I do with your car"

"Just park it over by the barn" and thankfully that was the last integration and she didn't bring up me leaving again. After everything was cleared up with the people I cared about I finally was able to feel comfortable in my temporary home. I was finally fitting in here in a strange way.

A loud curse pulled me out of my thoughts and I continued walking to the living room. Making my way to the sofa I was surprised when I saw Eli playing video games.

"Hey what's up?" I asked jumping next to him on the couch.

"Hunter kicked me out of the meeting. Apparently doodling on a piece of paper wasn't productive. It's not my fault the meeting is supposed to last all day and I get bored easily." He then let out a shout as he shot somebody's character in the game. I watched in horror as he then kicked somebody out of their car brutally beating them. He let out a curse as a image of cops was seen in the background.

"What the heck are you playing" I asked. He just let out a grunt and yanked the control sideways as if that would help him control the game more.

"Grand Theft Auto" he finally let out after his car blew up on the side of a bridge. I shook my head, as he handed me a controller and smiled at me. "Come on Smalls, play with me" then he let out a wink.

"Fine" I said grabbing the controller. When ever he called me by the nickname Smalls, it made it hard to say no to him. It didn't take long for him to start calling me by a nickname. I remember the first time he came up with it.

We were hanging out at the grocery store. I volunteered to go for Gail since she was busy with preparing snack time for the little ones. Hunter volunteered to come but he had an emergency come up with one of the Elders, the Elders are basically the oldest people in the small town and the original connection to the indians that lived around the area.
