"I think it's hilarious" Eli commented offhandedly while he laid on my bed both of us laying side by side. I glanced at him, he didn't even look over to acknowledge me, just continued to throw his ball up in the air then catching it.
"You just think it's hilarious because it isn't happening to you" I said, smacking the ball out of his hands. He let out a growl, tackling me from my spot, leaning over me and putting his hands up in the air.
"You brought in the beast of me, I shall tickle you to death now!" Eli brought his hands to my side making me cry out and squirm in his grasp.
"Down boy!" I gasped. I let out a shriek has he dug harder into my ribs. A sharp knock at the door made us freeze in our position and it opened a moment later. Angel peaked her head in and smiled at us both. Then shoved her hand full of bags in the door.
"I bought junk food!" she said. I patted the bed next to me and Eli sat up, leaning against the headboard to make room for her on the end of the bed. Angel closed the door and jumped on the end spreading the junk food in between us. I reached for a bag of popcorn and a twix bar, but Eli snatched the twix bar out of my hand. Shrugging I leaned back, stuffing my mouth full of pieces of popcorn.
2 days have passed since I finally found out what was going on. At first I locked myself in my room and didn't talk to anybody. Getting ready to leave seemed the only option that was reasonable. It was weird to think that everything that I learned was real, and it wasn't made up, I saw it face to face of the magic that I didn't even know existed in the world.
Then near dinner time, Angel came with dinner and tried to convince me to stay. She had some valid points here and there. I was too curious to leave now. I wanted to know more about the werewolves. And even though he didn't really want me, I needed to get to know Hayden. More for my own sanity. I couldn't just leave here, knowing that my soul mate wanted to just forget about me. Eli just thinks it's hilarious that my own mate wants me to just ignore him and move on with my life.
A blare from my nightstand pulled me out of my thoughts. Reaching over I picked up my new phone holding it closer to my face so I could read the screen. After losing mine in the accident, Angel gave me her old one so I could have some kind of contact with the people that care about my absence.
My mom's number flashed across the screen and I quickly flipped it open.
"Hey Mom" I said. It seemed to crackle a little and I looked to see I didn't have that many bars.
"He- bab- how are you" she asked. "Haven't heard fr- you so I was wond- if you were coming home soon?"
"Actually, Mom, you know I love you and everything. But I think I'm going to be here for longer than expected. The cabin is beautiful and my friends and I are just enjoying being around each other"
"There isn't any guys there right? I don't need any grandbabies for God sake, I don't even have any gray hair" my mom rambled on.
"No Mom, just a girls thing" I lied through my teeth. "I'll just call you when I head home"
"Goodbye sweetie"
"Good" and the line disconnected before I could say anything else.
"Your Mom is kind of strange" Eli commented offhandedly, earning him a slap upside the head. I threw the phone off the edge of the bed, letting my body hang down the side.
"I don't want to do anything today" I groaned.
"At least you don't have to use crutches anymore" Angel commented gesturing to my boot type thing.
"Party in Nola's room?" a voice said from the doorway. The voice took me off guard and I fell of the bed with a loud thud. Laying in the most ungraceful way, I glared at Hunter from my spot on the floor.
