That evening German was again laying in the bed, thinking...
He once talked to one of the guards, asking him why do they call Faria Abbe crazy and this was the response he got:
"He talks about some kind of treasure on an island that nobody really knows about. He says he got all that money from a relative of his, but I personally don't believe that at all. I think he just went crazy after all these years spending here."
German didn't know what to believe.
So many things are against the guards as they're being assholes to both him and Faria just because they can do it, but he was also hesitant to believe in what Faria says.
- I should believe in him... - German mumbled to himself - He's taking care of me for... Well, for a long time by now... Teaching me things, not letting me go insane alone, in the dark...

They have been planning to escape for a long time now and German always told Faria that he has to live until they can finally escape.

He was praying for the deadly day to not to come just yet. He was praying for his real father to be fine and also for Angie to be fine and be okay when he can get out.

But then the deadly day came...
Faria Abbe got the last stroke that took his life away and not even his misterious medicine that wasn't so misterious to German anymore, but this is something no one else knows anymore, but him.
He was sad.
He sadly went back to his own cell after all that happened, but then he got the perfect idea.
The idea that can help him escape the Castle of If.
He didn't know if it's gonna work, but as he was thinking he realized he had no other choice, but to do what he has to do.
He wanted to do what Faria would want him to do... And that is to escape.
He wanted to do it for Faria and for everyone else that he cared about...
