Hours and hours passed by while German and Angie were talking, but non of them actually noticed the time.

They enjoyed themselves way too much to care about time.

German felt truly happy to finally be able to talk to Angie after more than 20 years the same way as they did before... Well, almost the same way... Although lying to her was really hard for him.

Angie was also happy because finally someone listened her over without any interruption, or turning down.

She didn't have anyone to talk to this way for years as her "friends" are all hypocrites that just want a good life with money and everything, even though they don't love their husbands at all.

Just like Mrs. Danglars.

She literally would be ready to flirt with Monte Cristo any time when her husband isn't around, but even if he is she'd still do it.

As Danglars doesn't care about anything, but money.

Anyway...

- You have no idea how much better I'm feeling right now... - Angie sighed after finishing with her story and hearing the count's advice out.

- It's always better to tell someone all your pain then keep it to yourself - he said softly - I'm glad I could help you anyway.

- Yeah, right - she smiled - That's very true... And talking to you makes me feel like I'm actually talking to... Talking to him...

German felt like he's going to break down, but he tried straight face.

- Can I ask you something? - he then said.

- Yes.

- Do you still love him?

- Huh?

- Do you still love your dead fiancee, or not?

- Honestly... Yes, I still do love him... But what does it matter if he isn't going to come back?

German sighed.

"I'm right here, silly..."

At this moment Selvaggia arrived home which made German feel a little better and less uneasy as she also joined the conversation and also offered Angie a meeting the next day to have a girly chat, or something like that.

When Angie left...

- Thank you... You saved me - said German.

- Goddamnit, if you're still in love with her than why are you still playing like you're someone else?! - Selvaggia snapped - You both are suffering... Is this really what you want?

- I've already decided - he replied - I'm gonna do this...

- You have no idea how painful it is to see you like this... Sad and hurt - she sighed.

German's eyes widened.

- What do you mean?

- I uh... It's nothing - Selvaggia mumbled as she decided to sit beside him, looking down.

- Selvaggia... I can see that you're lying - he said as he lifted her chin up - What's the matter?

- What's the matter, you ask?! - she snapped again - I tell you what's the matter! The matter is that you're going after someone that already betrayed you once while someone else wants your attention even more! Someone else needs your attention and help more than her!

- Selvaggia...

- S-Sorry... - she stuttered as she was about to stand up and leave, but German pulled her back, into his arms for a tight hug and she didn't need anything more to start crying - I'm sorry...

- Calm down... - he said while he tried to stay calm, but yet hearing his closest friend crying made him almost cry too.

But he wanted to stay strong for her.

Because she's the only one that helps him in everything and knowd even more about him than anyone else.

Even his biggest secret which only her and Violetta knows...
