The guards threw the bag into the ocean and this was the moment when German started getting himself out of it as it was pretty foggy and rainy the weather so they won't be able to see him getting out at all.

Getting out of the bed was easy as he had a sharp metal that could cut it open, but getting the weight off was harder, but after a short struggle he was finally fully free and could swim up and breath again.

He was way too weak and almost drowned, but he was lucky enough that a ship was near and people on the ship noticed him, pulled him out and took care of him.

- And where are you from, buddy? - asked the captain of the ship - What happened to you?

- My ship sunk and I'm the only one that survived... Atleast this is how it seems - German replied.

- That's really bad.

- Uhm... What year is it now?

- It's 1829 right now.

"I was sent to prison in 1815... Which means I've been there for 14 years..." - German thought and just by thinking about that made him even more pale than he already was.

- You okay? - Asked the captain - You look pale. More than before.

- I'm fine... But can I stay here? I can be a good help.

- I'll see about that - he said - But for now I wouldn't let you leave anyway.

And just a moment later suddenly they heard the sirens going off at If which got everyone's attention, except from German's attention.

He was calm.

- What's going on there? - mumbled one of the men on the ship.

- Someone escaped - said the captain then he looked over to German - I wonder who escaped as they never usually are so loud over it.

- No idea who could that be - German said - But they're way too loud.

The captain just looked at him suspiciously, but then he didn't find anything suspicious about hom and he let him stay on his ship.

Later on German found out that the ship he got on was actually a smuggler ship, but it didn't bother him one bit.

In fact he kinda liked the way they were living.

At some point they mentioned Monte Cristo Island which caught his attention as well.

He had been near the island a few times, but never actually stopped there so he decided to try and make them actually stop at the island.

- Why would you want to stop there? - the captain asked - There's literally nothing at all, but wild life.

- Uh... For a hunt... And just lookin' around - German suggested, trying not to look too suspicious.

- Well... That's actually a good idea!

"Good..." - he sighed deeply.

He finally got what he wanted.

He wanted to get to Monte Cristo and try to find that treasure Faria Abbe gave the map to.

Even if it's not real...

He wanted to try.

He believes in what he told him and he wanted to find that treasure because he actually needs the money.

Needs it for his plans...
