"What is he doing here?" I ask Derek as I open the door to the animal clinic. "I need him." Derek answered.

"I don't trust him." Scott said, talking about Isaac. "Yeah? Well, he doesn't trust you either." Isaac said.

"And Derek really doesn't care." Derek speaks in the third person. "Now where's the vet? Is he gonna help us or not?" He asked.

"That depends. Your friend Jackson, are we planning to kill him or save him?" Dr. Deaton asked, coming out of his office.

"Save him." "Kill him." Scott and Derek say at the same time. "Save him!" Scott repeats, looking at Derek. Derek rolled his eyes.

"Save him." Scott confirms, looking at Deaton.

We all walked into his office and leaned over the table. Deaton put a rack onto the table. The things in the rack looked like spices. But I'm sure they weren't spices.

Isaac tried to touch the rack but Derek stopped him by grabbing his arm. "Watch what you touch." He says.

"So, what are you? Some kind of witch?" Isaac asked Dr. Deaton. "No. I'm a veterinarian." He answers.

"Oh." Isaac mouthed.

"Unfortunately, I don't see anything here that's going to be a defense against a paralytic toxin." Deaton says.

"We're open to suggestions." Derek comments. "What about an effective offense?" Isaac asked.

"We already tried." Derek says. "I nearly took its head off. And Argent emptied and entire clip into it. The thing just gets back up." He explained.

"Does it show any weaknesses?" Deaton asked. "It can't swim."

"Essentially you're trying to catch two people. The puppet, and the puppeteer." He says, holding up a coin.

"I don't think Jackson could've done it. His mother died pregnant too. And she was maybe murdered. He wouldn't let the same thing happen to someone else." Scott explained.

"How do you know it's not part of the rules? The Kanima kills murderers. If Jackson kills the wife, then the baby dies too." Isaac asked.

"Then do you think your dad was a murderer?" I questioned. "It wouldn't surprise me if he was." Isaac answered.

"The book says they're bonded, right? What if the fear of water is coming from not Jackson, but the person who's controlling him?" Deaton asked.

"What if something that effects the Kanima also effects it's master?" He asked, putting a black grainy thing around the coin.

"Meaning what?" I ask. "Meaning we can catch them. Both of them." Scott answers. Deaton nods his head.

We're one step closer to figuring out how to trap the Kanima and the master.

I was with Stiles and Scott and the rest of the team inside of the boys locker room.

I wasn't supposed to be in there, because girls aren't supposed to be in the boys room.

Coach burst through the door. I hid behind a locker. "Can anyone tell me where the hell Jackson is and why he missed morning practice?" Coach asked.

Stiles whispered something to Scott. "Stilinski, Jackson?" Coach said.

"Sorry coach, I haven't seen him since the last time I saw him." Stiles answered.

"And when was that?" He asked. "The last time I saw him. Which was definitely the time I saw him last." Stiles said.

"Danny, tell Jackson no more missing practice, especially not this close to the championships." Coach instructed.

"Okay, how about: you give us the tickets and you devote your life to obsolesce." Stiles suggested. We were trying to beg Danny for tickets to the rave that was tonight. We needed to get those tickets or else our plan wouldn't work.

Just then, Isaac grabbed both of them by their shirts.

"How do you two losers even survive?" He asked them.

"What are we supposed to do? No one is even selling tickets." Scott said.

"Wait here boys." Isaac said, walking over to another boy. "Oh my god." I said, watching Isaac beat up a poor boy just to get the tickets.

Isaac came back to us with 3 tickets in his hand and handed it to each of us.

"Enjoy the show." He smirked.

Just as Stiles and I were getting in his jeep to pick up Scott, dad came out of his car. He looked depressed.

He didn't say anything, he just walked towards the door.

"Hey, dad what's wrong?" I ask. "Nothing." He lied.

"Where's your gun?" Stiles asked. "I left it at the station, along with my badge." Dad answered.

"What?" Stiles and I asked at the same time. "You know what, we'll talk about this later." He says, walking back to the door.

"Dad." I called. "Don't worry about it." He says. "Dad!" I said louder. He sighed. "It was decided that the son of the police chief stealing police property and having a restraining order filed against him by the towns most respected attorneys did not reflect well on the county." Dad explained.

"Did they fire you?" Stiles asked. "No, it's just a leave of absence. It's temporary." He said.

"Did they say it was temporary?" I asked. "They didn't actually." He answered.

"Wait dad. Why aren't you angry at me?" He asked. "I don't know, I guess I just don't want to feel any worse than I already do by yelling at you." Dad said in a normal tone.

Dad walked into the house. Stiles looked like he was about to cry so I hugged him. "It's okay." I cooed.
