Two days later, Ellington pulled up to the big house, taking a big breath. How was he going to apologize to Riker? He probably wouldn't believe him.
Ellington got out of his car, walking up to the door. He knocked and waited for someone to come to the door.
Ross came to the door, suddenly looking mad.
"You've got a lot of nerve coming here." Ross said, crossing his arms over his chest.
"I know. I'm here to apologize. I didn't mean to hurt Riker. I didn't even know Rocky was coming and I did not want him to kiss me. Especially in front of Riker." Ellington said, looking towards his feet.
"He's been up there all day, miserable. You better make it right, Ellington. You hurt my brother and you will fix it." Ross ordered and motioned up the steps, "Go ahead."
Ellington walked past Ross, going upstairs to Riker's room. When he got to the door, he knocked. When he didn't get an answer, he walked in.
Ellington walked over to Riker's bed, where the blind boy laid. His hazel eyes were filled with tears.
"Go away, Ross. You've already gave me the 'get over him lecture' so get lost." Riker said, his voice quavering.
Ellington's heart pretty much broke at the sight of the boy and the way his voice was cracking. He held out his hand and ran his hand along Riker's face, feeling his slight stubble.
"I'm so sorry." Ellington whispered loud enough for Riker to hear.
"Ell..." Riker said, his voice cracking. A hot tear rolled down his cheek.
"Don't cry, baby." Ellington wiped the stray tear away.
Riker was too upset to blush.
"Why would y-" his mouth suddenly had a finger on it and Ellington was shushing him.
"Don't talk. I came here because... I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for Rocky to come and definitely did not mean for him to kiss me. We aren't even dating. I'd rather be dating someone else." Ellington said, hinting to Riker by tapping his nose.
"It was a natural reaction for me to have but I should not have reacted that way with you there. I don't have feelings for Rocky anymore. I did a long time ago but I've got my sights set on someone else." Ellington continued.
Riker sat upright, facing Ellington. Riker reached his hands out, in search of his face. He felt the outline of Ellington's face, tracing his lips. He leaned in and pressed his lips to Ellington's, his eyes fluttering shut.
Ellington leaned into the kiss, their lips moving together slowly and passionately. Ellington's hands rested on Riker's waist and that continued for a while, Riker following Ellington's lead.
A knock is what broke them apart. They jumped apart and Riker hid behind his hand. Ellington looked towards the door, Ross stuck his head into the room.
"Everything okay in here?" He asked looking at Ellington.
"Yes." Riker replied quickly.
"Okay." Ross said, getting suspicious because of Riker hiding behind his hands and Ellington's looking flustered.
Ross went back downstairs, closing the door behind him. Ellington turned to Riker.
"My first kiss." Riker admitted quietly, a blush present on his cheeks.
Ellington's head snapped towards Riker.
"Really? That was your first kiss?" Ellington asked, surprised.
