CHAPTER FIFTEEN

DAWN'S POV

"I can never be normal again." Harry muttered shakily as a few tears escaped his eyes. I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him to a comforting embrace. "Harry you are normal. You're normal. You just need a little help to get through your past. and I'll be here for you. Remember that." I whispered into his ear gently. His arms tightened around me as he nuzzled his face into the crook of my neck, his tears trickling down my skin. He pulled away, wiping the tears on his sleeve. "Thank you." He sniffled. "Thank you for everything."

"No, thank you. Because you trusted me." I insisted. He smiled, dimples showing. "You know, you were the first one to hear and actually listen to my story. And probably the only." He spoke. By this time, endless darkness has filled the sky and stars twinkled above us. A smile played on his lips but he stayed silent, staring at me with his emerald eyes. His eyes. They were in a different colour at the moment. Those eyes aren't bluish green. It was a dark shade of green with a glint of happiness. Something I have never seen before. That glint in his eyes was enough to make my heart melt and for a smile to form on my lips. It stayed silent for a few as I was getting conscious with his constant stare. His eyes just never seemed to leave mine. As I was about to speak, Harry beats me to it. "You broke my walls, you know." He leaned in closer to me, whispering in his deep, husky voice. His face was extremly close to mine. "Walls that I built for years. Walls that I told myself would keep everyone, anyone out. Walls that would protect me from everything. Every emotion, feeling, hurt, pain. Walls I built only to be broken by you." In a swift movement, his hands cupped my face and his plump lips pressed to mine, not in a rough way, but a gentle, passionate kiss.

Taken aback by his sudden move, I stayed still, not moving my lips. Harry only pressed harder, urging me to kiss back. Soon, my lips were moving in sync with his. The feeling was amazing. Soft, pink lips caressing mine. Teeth nipped my bottom lip as Harry spoke. "Dawn Skyes," his voice deep and raspy, almost like seducing me. A quick peck was left on my lips. "You make me happy." Those simple words made my day. Our foreheads touched, his mesmerizing green eyes still on my focus. "You make me feel loved. You make me feel like I'm worth it. Je t'aime. Je t'aime tres tres bien. Je t'aime de tout mon coeur." unknown words slurred off his tongue in an unsual accent. I giggled at him. "What's that mean?" I asked curiously. "You'll know." He smirked.

"Harrryy!" I whined. "What is it? Is it some curse or something?"

"Why would I curse at you?" He laughed.

"I don't know, just tell me." I protested.

"It means you should get back in there because Star might be waiting for you and I need to go because it's getting late."

I narrowed my eyes at him, arms crossed over my chest as he laughed once again. Just then, the door opened with Star walking towards us sleepily rubbing her eyes. "Dawn, I'm sleepy." She muttered. "Okay little one, let's get you tucked in bed." I cooed. Harry and I stood up as he quickly picked Star up in his arms. "Je t'aime Star." He stated the same foreign words to Star, making me curious even more. "I love you too Harry." Star giggled happily. Harry had widened his eyes. "And where did you learn that from?" He asked, seeming impressed. "From mommy." Star answered.

I kept that in mind as we brought Star up to her room and tucked her in bed. We both kissed her goodnight on her forehead as she dozed off. I led Harry down the stairs, his hand slipped into mine, fingers intertwined. "Soo... It means..I love you?" I asked. I could've sworn I saw his cheeks turn a shade of crimson pink for a second there, but it quickly disappeared. As we approached the doorstep, Harry snuck a lasting peck on my lips. "Maybe." he replied as he goes off. He waved a quick goodbye as I returned one to him. That night, when mom arrived from work, the first thing I asked her was: "Mom, what does 'je t'aime' means?" As she replied with a simple. 'I Love You'.
