she sat on the bed across from where I was laying. I had my eyes trained to her, looking up at her long beautiful hair and the way her lips moved creating a sound that reminded me of silk. she had insisted on me reading her favorite book, which we had picked up at the new bookstore only days before. I refused to read it and therefore she decided to read it to me. I was lost in her words. the story of the billionaire who'd lost his love to someone he never knew. all due to his leaving for war and returning to bankruptcy of his own home. the way he knew he shouldn't have tried to get her again. the way he did. the way he acted around her husband who she never loved. he had everything and no one to share it with.
I glanced at the title once again, although I'd had the entire cover memorized. The Great Gatsby. it read.
Alia's voice paused and began to switch chapters. I halted her.
"Alia."
she looked up from the book.
"we're getting married. soon."
she toyed with the beautiful ring placed in her finger.
"yes, we are. and I couldn't be happier."
and that ended our book reading time.
"you should get ready to go to Nash's." she closed the book, folding the corner of the page to hold our spot.
"I am ready. please keep reading." I begged. I was wearing a decent enough outfit. blue jeans and a white t-shirt. it was good enough for a bachelor party that I wished I didn't have to go to. who knows what we'd be doing.
"oh, but I have to get ready for my party you know?" she tried to rise from the bed. I grabbed her hips and pulled her back.
"you're gorgeous no matter what. keep reading." I tried.
"no, Cameron" she removed me and left to the bathroom.
the house felt too quiet all alone. Me and Alia had moved into our own home when we came back to LA. I'd kept the fans updated.
they were all either sad, angry, or happy. the news wasn't too much for most of them to handle; they did well when I told them.
of course, Nash was overjoyed by the fact that is was finally happening and started calling around LA immediately to find someone who could help us plan a wedding. he had done pretty well in finding someone because in very little time, the wedding was perfectly planned and ready to happen. it's next month; June 6th.
(a/n: yes I know it's September currently but I didn't want Cameron's bday to be happening bc that's more confusing stuff to write. so it's May in the story currently. PS CAMERON IS 22 IN THE STORY YIKES. thanks)
the other boys couldn't be happier either. and my family is all for it.
we sent out invitations last week. Nash decided the only thing left to do was throw bachelor and bachelorette parties. so today is that day. we have all of alias friends in town and Sierra as well. everyone will be out doing something tonight. both me and Alia are clueless to it all. I hear muffled sounds from the bathroom and know she's talking on the phone to her closest friend, and soon-to-be maid of honor at our wedding.
I rise from the bed and look in the mirror. I mess with my hair for a second before deciding it looks okay. I check the time and lay my jacket on the bed so I would remember to put it on. I walk into the bathroom and Alia glances over at me.
"I'll talk to you later tonight. love you!" she makes a kiss noise into the phone then giggles and hangs up.
"hey babe." I wrap my hands around her bare waist. she's in nothing but undergarments.
"hi, you might wanna move before I burn you with the curling iron." she giggles again, my favorite sound. I move to sit up on the two sinked counter. I watch in dead silence as she so easily curls her hair. she's so fascinating to me and I don't know how.
I reach for my phone in my back pocket and get off the counter. I lean against the opposite wall getting a perfect view of her from the back. her long brown hair falling perfectly in curls down her back. I open up the camera and snap a quick picture of the moment when she holds a piece of hair on the iron above her head.
"what are you doing?" she turns to see me smiling like a child.
"I thought you looked beautiful. so I saved the moment." I kiss her cheek. "you should get dressed before we miss the parties." I say to her.
"just finishing." she unplugged the curler. we both walked back into the room. I sat down at our deal and opened up the Mac. I pulled up Twitter and scrolled through my mentions doing a quick follow spree randomly.
"ready yet?" I called to Alia.
"yes. they should be here soon." she replied. the doorbell rang at that exact moment. I grabbed my jacket and threw it on. I wrapped an arm around Alia and walked her to the front door.
I turned to her. "no matter what I am forced to do tonight, I'll come home sober and still loving you. " and I pressed my lips to hers. she smiled in the kiss.
I pulled the door open and was met with loud people.
"come on girl! let's gooo!" Alia was torn away from me before I could comprehend anything.
"don't worry, we got this in control!" Sierra yelled as they were all stumbling into a car. I sighed.
Nash didn't arrive for a few more minutes. And when he did, my whole night got just a little bit crazier.
