Heyyyyy!!!! Yall have EVERY right to go off on me in the comments LOL!!!!!!! Just an update, I am getting married in 4 months! So that's where I been! I stepped away from teaching and currently in job search, so send up a prayer! However I'm ready for more of a better work life balance!!! God always knows! I got some timmmeeee, I want to get back to one of my favorite downtime things to do...WRITE!!!!

Zac POV
After I told Valerie that we need to talk, we sit across from each other in the dining room in intense silence as she is eating her Panera sandwich that she wanted on her way home from the airport.

Valerie-So...talk...

She says as she wipes the side of her mouth, and looks at Zac he just looks down at his hands.

Zac-Um...

He gets cut off by his phone buzzing, he takes a look at it and sees multiple missed calls from Shantell, Fatima's sister.

Valerie looks confused but continues to eat her sandwich.

Zac-um babe excuse me for just a second.

He leaves the dining room and goes upstairs to their bedroom to give Shantell a call back.

She answers on the first ring, she sounds very panicked.

Shantell-Zac!

Zac-Shantell what's up??

Shantell-Um...we are at the hospital right now...Our dad just had a heart attack...

Zac-wait what the hell? Uhm is Fatima with you all right now?

Shantell-yes, yes she is Zac...she just really needs someone with her right now, i mean you know how she feels about me, and kyle is still on a work trip he's trying to rush home. And our aunt is with my mom right now, I'm trying to be with her but she's pushing me away-

Zac cuts her off.

Zac-I'm on my way.

They hang up and Zac heads back downstairs, and sees valerie starting to throw away her trash. She goes up to him as he grabs his car keys off the table she wraps her arms around his neck.

She looks confused.

Valerie-What are you doing?

Zac-Uhm...so that was an important call, one of my homies...Trey...well yeah...uhm one of his family members had to be rushed to the hospital and I need to go be with him babe...

Valerie-oh wow...i'm sorry babe...let me get my shoes...

Zac-no...noo...it's okay baby you just rest just lay down...i'll keep you updated

Valerie-babe I mean I don't mind...

Zac-I know babe, but yeah I'm just gonna go check on him.

He kisses her forehead.

Valeria sighs

Valerie-Okay babe, well yes please keep me updated.

Zac smiles and lets go of her waist and starts to head out the door.

Fatima POV
I can't believe this is happening right now. I sit in the waiting room, shaking my leg up and down in tears, it feels like everything around me is spinning.

I put my face in my hands, as I feel a familiar hand touch my thigh and calms my shaking leg. I look up to see him.

He just pulls me into an embrace, I cry for a while as he rubs and kisses the top of my head and rubs the side of my arm.
