CHAPTER 2 Abandonment

I laid next to Joe, he was sleeping silently. I got up, going out into the living room. Liam was sitting on the love seat looking worried. "What's wrong?" he looked up, tears in his eyes.

"She found out about Lou. She was so upset, she just left." my eyes widened. Lou had major birth defects. We didn't tell Emily in fear of her blaming herself. We heard the door open. Emily came in, falling onto Liam's lap crying.

"He died. It's all my fault." Liam hugged her. I sighed going back into my room. Joe was slowly waking up, looking at the clock.

"It's 3 in the morning. Why aren't you asleep?" I bit my lip.

"I couldn't sleep. The baby was keeping me up." I said laying next to him. "Love you." I felt him tense.

"Yeah you too." I looked at him, laying my head on his chest. My eyes started to feel heavy.

I was woken up by the faint sound of voices. "You should probably tie the knot."

"You think I would marry him? Really?" I blinked a couple times.

"Joey?" I looked up, Joe was gone. Nick gave me a nervous look patting my stomach.

"Go back to bed. You need your rest." I frowned, but obeyed laying down. Nick was about to leave.

"Nick, what were you and Joe talking about?" He bit his lip

"Nothing Zayn. Like I said go back to bed. You're growing a human being." He pulled the blanket up and turned off the light. I looked at the clock.

"6:30." I said to myself, groaning and covering my head with the pillow.

I was woken up by someone poking my cheek. Opening my eyes Lily was sitting on my chest. I smiled sitting up. Emily came in. "Sorry Zayn. Li was suppose to be watching her." I shook my head.

"No, I'm glad she likes me she's the only person that does." She frowned.

"That's not true. I like you. The rest of the band loves you. And so does Joe." I looked at my lap.

"Em I'm not sure he does. I heard him talking to Nick..."

"What'd he say." I shook my head holding back tears. The room was quiet.

"Shut up Nick. I'm not marrying him!"

"Then why are you with him?"

"Because Emily scares the crap out of me." Joe and Nick walked into the room. Emily looked at Joe.

"You fucking liar. Not only did you lie to me but you lied to Zayn!"

"How can you love a fucking faggot?"

"Because I don't see a faggot! I see someone who is scared." I sat there I shock.

"Y-you could h-have told me." I ran out of the room in tears. I heard Emily call my name, but I ignored her. I went outside sitting on the snow covered covered ground, curling into a ball.

He had lied to me.

For 2 months.

I wasted 2 months of my life on him.

I felt someone pick me up. I opened my eyes to see Niall. "N-Niall?" He looked down and smiled.

"Don't worry I'm here for you. Emily called she told me what happened. I'm sorry." I hugged him. He hugged me back. "Come one let's go inside you're gonna freeze your toes off." I laughed at him.

"You're weird."
