This one shot is for silia_black
Lily swayed in the air on her broomstick, looking for the golden snitch. She's the seeker for the Gryffindor team, and if she catches the snitch now, they win the Quidditch cup. Malfoy, the younger seeker on the Slytherin team, watches Lily's moves to see if she finds the snitch.
Something gold shimmers near the ground on the opposite side of the field. She pretends to see it somewhere else to get draco to follow her. When he looks that way, she darts for the snitch. It flies away and she follows. A Bludger comes alarmingly close to her but her best friend Fred hits it away from her. He grins and she makes the dive for the snitch...and catches it! Gryffindor wins!
She flies down and her whole team is hugging her. Fred comes for a big hug and looks like he is going to kiss her, but backs away and blushes. Back in the common room, they celebrate the big win. Lily pulls Fred aside. "Hey, what was all that about on the field?" She asks. He blushes even more than earlier. "I, uh..." he stutters.
"Are you okay, Fred?" Lily asks , oblivious. He gets even more flustered. He blurts out, "I love you!" And pulls her in a kiss that they'd both been wanting. A camera snap pulls them apart. Colin Creevey took a photo of them and the whole house saw! Lily covers her head in embarrassment. After a moment of silence the whole house erupts into cheers.
"Finally!" Someone calls out and she realizes it was George. She rolls her eyes and kisses Fred again. Best day ever!
