A/N: Okay I just want to say a couple of things. 1) this book is at 98k reads!! That's unbelievable! I started this book after reading so many big preferences books and now here I am. Thank you guys so much! 2) I'm sorry for being so inactive! School is almost out for me so expect many more updates during the summer ;)

It's your fifth year at Hogwarts and so far it's been interesting. Umbridge has completely turned the school into a whirlpool of pink chaos. Also, to make matters even more confusing, you're sort of dating Draco Malfoy (your huge crush) but sort of not. This year he is actually acknowledging the fact that you like him and that he sort of likes you back but he doesn't want to ruin his reputation.
After class one day, Harry pulls you aside. "Y/N, remember I was telling you about that plan for a secret Defense Against the Dark Arts club thing? Well Hermione and Ron have helped me set it up and it's starting during our next free period. Are you in?" You quickly nod. Harry had told you previously that he wanted to start an in school thing to teach other students real
DADA instead of Umbridges version of it.
When your free period comes around you quickly walk down to meet Harry. He brings you down one corridor and stands in front of the wall. It magically turns itself into a sort of doorway and you walk into a secret chamber with other students. "Welcome to Dumbledores Army!" Harry says with a smile.
The next day, you get ready to go down to meet with Dumbledores Army when Draco stops you. His hair looks fluffier than normal which usually means he's been stressed about something. "Draco, what's wrong?" You ask, looking into his pale blue eyes. He just smiles down at you. "I was wondering if you wanted to take a walk down by the lake with me."
Your stomach turns itself inside out, your heart is pounding yet your mind is screaming to go meet up with Dumbledores Army. Plus, you promised Hermione you'd be there. After a minute of debating with yourself you sadly say to Draco, "Sorry, I can't right now. Harry's asked me to do something for him."
You turn and run to find the Room of Requirement, feeling horrible for declining Dracos offer.
After a couple weeks of meeting up with the other students, Draco pulls you aside out in the court yard. "Y/N, I need to talk to you. Do you still like me? I know I've pushed you aside before but lately I've realized I have feelings for you. You've been hanging out with Harry lately and not telling me about it. And... Umbridge thinks you guys are in this secret club."
You can't look up at him. "It's true... Harry's organized a secret Defense Against the Dark Arts club to teach proper spells to other students.. But of course I still like you. Please, Draco, please don't tell Umbridge." Draco just nods.
The next day you're called into Umbridges office with Harry. Draco is sitting in one of the chairs. You glance over at him but he doesn't do anything. "So, I've pulled you three aside for a reason. Potter.. Y/l/n.. You two are not involved in any secret in school organizations are you?" "No, professor." You say at the same time. She just glared down at you two. "Well.. I've brought my trusted friend with me to tell the truth. Mr Malfoy, are they lying?"
Draco looks over at you and then at the professor. "No, they're telling the truth." After she dismisses all of you, you run over and hug Draco. "Thank you...can I still agree to the offer of a walk by the lake?" Draco smiles and kisses your cheek. "Of course."
