A/N: I'm going to be doing some oneshots!
You were sitting behind your crush Ron and his best friend Harry in Potions with Snape. They chat away, oblivious to the Professor standing behind them. He whacks the back n of their heads and you silently giggle.
On the way out, when Ron is alone in the corridor, you pluck up the courage to go talk to him. "Hey, Ron." You say casually as you walk next to him. He glances at you and smiles. "Hey, y/n!" You try not to blush. "Are you okay? I mean from Snape hitting you." You ask. He shrugs. "Yeah, suppose so. Used to it. Hey, want to meet me at the Quidditch game tomorrow?" You grin. "Sure."
You spot Ron in the Gryffindor crowd and go over to him, only to see him laughing with Hermione. Your heart sinks. It's so obvious they like each other. You sit with Seamus and Dean instead, occasionally casting glances at Ron and Hermione. After the game, Ron confronts you privately in the common room. "Why didn't you go to the game?" He asks, a bit disappointed.
" I did. I was with Seamus and Dean. I didn't see you." You lie, jealously boiling inside you. He sighs. "I know you're lying. Why didn't you sit with me?" You look down at your sneakers, not answering the question. "Wait...were you jealous? Of Hermione?" He asks, shocked. You nod. "It's obvious you two like each othet. I wasn't going to interfere in anything."
He laughs and you feel offended and turn to walk away. "Wait! Y/n!" He calls out. You stop and turn to face him, your face red in anger and embarrassment. "It's thought it was a bit obvious, but apparently not to you." He starts with a lopsided grin. You cross your arms, waiting for him to finish. "It's dont like Hermione, she's like another Ginny, but more bossy and annoying and...bossy. I don't like her, I like you." His face is nearly the color of his hair.
"R - really?" You ask, utterly shocked. Did he just say that? He nods, and Harry calls his name. He pecks your cheek and dashes off, leaving you standing there, grinning like a fool.
