Harry Potter Preferences

Harry Imagine

You watch from your couch, with Teddy next to you, as Harry sighs and takes out his coffee mug. He pours himself a cup of coffee and stands by the counter. "Hey, Harry." You say, standing up with your own mug, and walk towards him. He refills your mug for you.

He sighs again. "Hey y/n." You place your hand on his back. "What's wrong?" "I've been thinking." He says and you smirk. "Oh no," you tease and he rolls his eyes at you.

"I've been thinking...about us. What are we even doing? 'Taking a break'? Come on, this is silly," he says, turning to you. You two decided to not be dating would be the best thing for now while things got sorted out after the war. You do agree with him though, considering you live together, but...it was his idea.

"This was your idea, remember?" You nudge his arm. He rolls his eyes again. "I know, I know. Don't we have to be at the Burrow?" You nod and you both apparate with Teddy in Harry's arms, to the warm and welcoming Burrow.

You two walk in and hug all of the Weasleys. George steals Teddy from Harry. "I'm so glad you two could make it!" Mrs Weasley gushes from the kitchen. Mr Weasley strikes a conversation with Harry so you walk over to Fleur and Bill, and their little girl Victoire. "Bonjour, y/n," Fleur says with a smile. From Bill's arms, Victoire reaches out towards you.

You walk over to the table with Victoire on your arm and sit down with Ron and Hermione, who are showing off their new, bubbly love. They're holding hands on the table, talking to each other with such enthusiasm. You secretly wish you and Harry were still like that. Harry takes a seat next to you as Mrs Weasley starts to serve dinner,
watching you with Victoire.

After eating dinner and setting the baby girl down to sleep, you head outback. There are fireflies all around, lighting up the place. "Hey," you hear someone say from behind you. You turn to see Harry, smiling at you with gentle eyes. "Hey," you say back. He walks up next to you and drapes an arm over your shoulders.

"I've been thinking," he repeats the phrase from earlier that day. You open your mouth to answer with an oh no, but he quickly clamps his hand over your mouth. You both laugh and he takes his hand away. "I've been thinking. I want what Ron and Hermione have, really badly. Y/n, you mean so much to me. I want to experience what they are with you. Watching them and then seeing you play with Victoire, and not to mention how good you are with Teddy. I just..."

You smile down at the ground, trying to hide your red face. "I want that too, Harry. But are you ready for that?" He takes a deep breath and grabs both of your hands gently. You turn and look him in his green eyes. "I think I am, y/n." You grin and lean in, kissing him.

"Awwwwww," a chorus of voices says from the back door. You two quickly separate, and turn around to see everybody, literally everyone, standing there watching you two. You roll your eyes, your cheeks burning. You can see Harry go slightly pink in the face as well. Teddy, who's now in Bill's arms, turns his hair your hair color with jet black tips and claps his hands. Everybody laughs at the boy.

You turn back to Harry, and you can't hold back your smile. He puts his hands on your back and pulls you towards him into another passionate kiss.
