Chapter 9 : Different Sky

"How long will we walk...?"

Sumi sighs,taking a deep breath while following the pebble. Perria is already in front,with Riki walking slightly behind her. Sumi quickening her steps and walk beside Riki.

"Riki,are you sure this is safe? I mean-that's a pebble."she whispers and looks forward towards the pebble. "A.. somehow moving pebble." she continues.

Riki only gives a smile to her. "Well,it is our only hint here. Thus, it's interesting right,Sumi?" he says. "We literally saw a talking pebble,following it-and it kinda intrigues me." he looks around excitedly.

"It's like an adventure!" he exclaims.

Sumi raises her eyebrows. "...You are so optimistic as always,Riki. As long as there's no insects..ugh.." she sighs as she wraps her hands on chest. "But this is a grass field.." Her eyes wander around the surroundings.

"This place really has no one.."

"Guys,look!" Their discussion was cut off by Perria's voice.

They could see a big shining halo from the far,standing straight near the cliff. It has a pure white body,elongated gorgeous face,far from human-like face features.

Sumi and Riki freeze in place.

"What is that!?" Sumi points a finger towards it,hands shaking as she can't take her eyes off it. Riki looks at Dracyan,who seems to be scanning the new identity.

"..That thing has a wave different from B-animals.Far more ancient,more...potent..",He mumbles after finishing scanning. "That's not something like b-animal,for sure."He continues with confirmation tone

Perria looks towards Dracyan,then back towards the thing. "Yeah..I could feel something extraordinary with that ...person?" she mutters. "If that even a person." she shrugs.

The pebble stops and tilts towards them,jumping much more faster. Riki lets out a hum and walks towards it. "Want or not,this is only our chance to understand this place so we can get out."

Perria smiled and followed him. "True,lets go Sumi!" she follow Riki with no hesitation,leaving Sumi who let out a long sigh before following them.

"...So big.."

Perria gasps,looking up towards the towering
being.There are other pebble,reddish colours and smaller compared to the one who guides them

The white pebble is jumping next to it,so small compared to the tall being. It keep on skittering and jumping,as if introducing these three with this mysterious towering white being.

It then playfully bumps with the red pebble,making a soft "ting" noise.

"A...human?,"The big towering being's tone was low,as it confusedly looks at all three of them. It's patterns on its face slightly changes.

Perria nervously take a breath and did a fake cough before speaking.

"Hello! You are one of those who live in this place, right?",she asks,hands on her side to appear proper. "Do you know what this place is? Do you know East City and how to get there?"

That being titled their head a bit. "East City...?", they muttered in confusion,then look towards Perria properly again. "There's no cities here,as I know. The place is deserted after meteorites hit Earth,making all cities destroyed long time ago."
