No perspective.

The current surged through Winter without mercy. It didn't stop. It wasn't going to stop. Roman had made sure of that.

The door had slammed shut behind him. She had heard the lock turn over the relentless crackling of electricity before he simply walked away, leaving her strapped to the machine with the power pushed as high as it could go, knowing exactly what it would do to her. Knowing exactly how long it would take before it finally killed her.

Harry was somewhere beyond that door.

But he couldn't get in.

She couldn't get out.

And she had no idea what they were doing to him.

The current flooded every inch of her until it no longer felt like electricity at all. It felt like fire pouring through her veins instead of blood, racing beneath her skin and burning everything it touched, consuming every nerve until there was nothing left except pain. Her muscles no longer belonged to her. Every tendon pulled so tightly it felt as though her bones were trying to tear themselves apart. Her back arched helplessly against the restraints while every muscle locked into one endless strain that refused to loosen, refused to release, refusing to grant her even a single second to breathe.

Her fists had clenched so tightly that her nails were cutting into her palms, but she couldn't make them open. She couldn't make anything move. She couldn't even scream anymore. Her jaw had locked rigid, her teeth grinding together so violently she thought they would shatter inside her mouth.

She wanted to open her eyes. She thought she was trying. Her eyelids felt impossibly heavy, as though they had forgotten how to move. Her body had stopped listening to her altogether.

Time dissolved into something meaningless. There was no beginning anymore. No end. Only pain. Only the unbearable heat flooding through every part of her until it became impossible to separate where her body ended and the agony began. It tore through every thought she tried to hold onto, splintering every memory into pieces before swallowing them whole. Nothing stayed with her for longer than a heartbeat before it slipped away again.

Harry.

She reached for him desperately inside her own mind, refusing to let him disappear with everything else.

But his face blurred first.

The shape of his smile slowly became something she couldn't quite remember. His eyes followed soon after. She knew she loved his eyes. She knew she had spent countless hours staring into them, memorising every tiny fleck of colour inside them, yet suddenly she couldn't remember what colour they had been at all.

She couldn't let him be taken from her.

She reached for him again, but it felt like trying to catch smoke with broken hands. Every memory slipped straight through her fingers before she could hold onto it. His laugh. The way he whispered her name. The warmth of his hand wrapped around hers. The softness of his lips against her forehead before they fell asleep. Each memory dissolved almost as quickly as it appeared, disappearing into the growing fog consuming her mind.

She couldn't tell if she was awake anymore. She couldn't even remember where she was. Perhaps this was what dying felt like. Perhaps her mind was replaying everything she had ever loved before it finally let her go. But she couldn't remember why it hurt.

The room drifted further and further away, as though she were sinking beneath dark water while the world continued somewhere impossibly far above her. The crackling of electricity stretched into something distant and distorted until she barely recognised it anymore. Even the agony itself had begun to change. It was no longer sharp enough to scream against. It had become something so vast that it swallowed everything else whole.
