Fatima's POV"Oh but what about that one??" I point at the laptop screen.
"Oh I love that one!! But damn.. Expensive, and I don't really like that color." Talia adds.
Jannatul sighs, "this is hard!" She says over dramatically.
Talia lets out a laugh, "alright, I'm gonna go make myself a sandwich if you don't mind. Anyone want anything?" She asks.
"No were good," I answer.
She hops off the bed and walks out the door. "I'm going to go pray Mahgrib, so I'll be right back too." Jannatul gets up while grabbing a scarf from my drawer.
"You'll be okay, right?" She asks."Yeah, I'll be fine," I say while grabbing all my hair to put up in a bun.
I keep scrolling down the page examining every single dress trying to find that perfect one.
The brides dress was bought but Talia, a couple of close cousins to Jannatul, and me; we were all going to wear matching dresses, about ten girls, eleven including me, just for fun.We tried getting everyone together to go shopping at an Indian boutique, but almost everyone was busy, and when we were planning to actually go yesterday, I ended up getting a fever. No one wanted to leave me which ended up to not going.
So everyone decided to look for dresses online and if anyone found anything of their liking it would be shared with everyone else. There were so many different styles, colors, and designs, even the littlest things changed the entire dress and the choice of whether we like it or not. Gosh how much I wish these dresses could just be perfect. There were so many different problems with the dresses, like the neckline, the sleeves, the length, the beading, the fit!
Biggest problem of them all was the way it's going to look on each of us unique individuals.I sigh and shut the laptop. I throw it across my bed and spread out my legs. Talia steps into the room with a plate full of different snacks and her sandwich. She comes and sits next to me under the blanket and spreads out her legs as well. "Want some?"
I take an Oreo from the plate. "I couldn't find anything!!" I open up the Oreo and start eating the creme in between.
"Whatever we'll look later," Talia does the same with her Oreo.
"Find anything?" Jannatul steps into the room and takes off her hijab.
"Nope!" Me and Talia say in unison.
She walks over and squeezes next to me under the blankets. "Are you feeling okay?" Jannatul asks me.
"I'm feeling fine, but I do have a little pain in my stomach."
"Aww tell Zain to take you to the doctors girl," Talia sits up from her position.
"I haven't told him yet, I don't know, he seems to be under a lot of stress."
"Because of what??" Talia asks.
I shake my head and sigh, "uh- I don't know." After a moment of silence I speak up, "you guys wanna go to mall?"
Jannatul laughs, "what's with the randomness??"
"I just don't want to keep sitting in bed. Let's go to the mall, walk around, see if there's anything we can possibly buy, Nothing else to do, and Zain will be home in a couple of hours too."
•••••
"Should I get the black ones or white ones?" Talia puts on the black pair of pumps. "I kind of like these black ones more, but which one?" She walks across the aisle in them.
