Jean's POV
Being the first one arrived at the inn after Eric is not the most pleasant experience.
Why?
After I opened the door, a number of pillow was flying towards me and knocked me down. The little perpetrator sat on the bed, her lips curled up into a smirk, trying to contain her laughter.
"What the hell are you doing?!" I raise my voice, demanding some explanation being attacked like that. Eric just shrug her shoulder and smile sheepishly.
"Sorry, I thought you were ghosts."
"You can attack a ghost with a pillow? Genius." I deadpanned. As long as I know, the pillow will just pass trough the ghost.
"Well, what can I say? I'm scared and it's the only method I can think of..." she pout like a kid, giving me a puppy eyes with her usual mischievous glint. I sigh in defeat. She's a stubborn one and it's hard to argue with her. As you can see, she has a sharp tongue plus her witty personality, but her innocent face can fool anyone out there. Speaking to her on the first time will not show you her true colors. But when you get to know her, you starts to realize that she's completely lunatic and you can't back up anymore because you're attached to her intriguing personality.
Seriously though, she's the most funny and reliable person in the group. She helps at unexpected times and we don't realize her help until she's gone for a few days then everyone panic.
Eric and Rox often argue about smallest things like the laundry, bills, chocolate brand to buy and mostly, potatoes.
Rox loves potatoes. Eric, being a food monster she is, eats a lot and any food available in the fridge. That's including Roxanne's potato.
Then they reconciled and argued, reconciled, argued and so on. Yeah, pretty much like old married couple.
"Jean? Jean..." Eric's voice snap me out of my daze. Blinking rapidly, I focus my eyes on her again.
"Awww, Jean! I know I'm attractive, but you don't need to stare at me like that." Her comment makes me blushing furiously. She just laugh it off.
Annoying. Can I strangle this kid now? Yeah, sure. No one will miss her anyway.
Suddenly, the door creaks open, making Eric and I jump in surprise. She instantly hides on the other side of the bed while my feet feels like nailed to the floor, not allowing me to move. Shivers run down my spine at the sound of footsteps.
Wait, footsteps?
Turning my head slowly, I spot Rox and Giselle entering the room.
"We're back!" Roxanne's loud voice booming the entire inn. Giselle is standing behind her, carrying take-out container for four people.
I sighed in relief. I think Eric's fear of ghost is contagious.
"Where's Eric?" Roxanne's eyes are searching the room.
"Hiding in the Witch's Lair." I said, simply.
Roxanne walks to the bed, realizing there's Eric over there. Eric looked a little bit startled by her appearance.
"What the hell happened to you?" Rox pulled Eric's arms so she stood up.
"Don't mind me," Eric sighed in relief as she glanced at the plastic bag that was carried by Giselle. "Is that food?" Her eyes sparkling in delight.
"Uhm... yes." Giselle replied Eric's obvious question. A wide grin showing up on Eric's face, making her face look creepier than usual.
